Yep. The major factor in these last two games was the Hawks 'out-efforting' Wisconsin and Minnesota. If they don't bring that edge every game, than any game could be an ugly loss (they could anyway). The guys just need to keep plugging away. I have a good feeling they will, as they have seen some ugly losses already this year and brushed them off.

Yep - every team (not just Iowa) needs to bring it each night in conference play, or they can lose.

A fine line separates confidence and cockiness. Hopefully Fran will keep the guys on the correct side of that line.

Brennan is an Iowan, so this isn't a surprise.
But he's wrong about UNI, the Hawks put up a fight in that one despite the final score.

Also interesting that even after Iowa nearly beat Purdue he ranked the Hawkeyes 12th in the Big Ten.

did you make it to the game? I had great seats at midcourt, really enjoyed it except for the free throws at the end, first time i have seen McCabe in person, he loves to do the dirty work, hope they challenge OSU sat.

Considering the teams they lost to earlier this year they better understand that they can't coast and beat anyone.
