Drake game

Not going to lie. They concern me. Their 7-1, a top 100 team according to Kenpom and after Atlantis and last night I could see us having a let down game. Drake needs this if they are going to get a quality win assuming they have tournament aspirations so they are going to come out tough.

I think it's a close game that helps our RPI in the end.

Also, Woodbury will probably lose the tip which will make a bunch of people act stupid.

I think it is great Iowa got Drake this year, if Iowa takes care of business I think Drake will be a better win than UNI. It is unfortunate that this game is technically at a neutral site and does not count as a road game.

Just win baby. RPI is not going to play a factor this year like it did last year.

Drake can shoot the 3 ball. Hopefully our length on D will alter some shots from deep. Last night the Hawks were able to corral some long rebounds, something we did not do against Nova. That could be a key to this game.

I think stat sheet needs to get their ppg line recalculated. Mount St. Mary's hasn't scored more than 84 pts in a single game, yet they average 124... Math hurts.

Outside of the common opponent where the spread was similar, what kind of competition has Drake played? In state games always bother me, but this is a game Iowa should win fairly easily IMO.

Drake is good. I expect Iowa to win, but it wont be easy.

Drake has been a lot better than I expected, but it's not like they've played that tough of a schedule. I think Fran gets the guys ready and makes them realize that this won't be a "gimmee" game, and that Drake won't just lie down and die. I see it being pretty close at half, with us pulling away in the 2nd.

Not just RPI why I am glad they got Drake. The better competition they play the more prepared they will be for conference play.

I'll be there! I like that Drake isn't "Drake." I think they'll be a better test than UNI as well.

I like the direction Drake is headed and think they hired the right coach. I also agree that this could prove to be a better win than a win over UNI this year...never can be certain of the UNI ceiling though. I still think we win without much difficulty...at least 15 points.

It absolutely plays a factor in seeding. So whether you think getting into the tourney is almost a formality or not, this is a meaningful game.
