Since you have chosen to attack me personally regarding my opinion for whatever reason....
How many games did you go to this year? Me...all home games, plus @ NW and @ Minney. Would have gone to scUM, but had the opportunity to see Wisky/OSU in Madtown, so I went.
You think, after I spent thousands of dollars on tix, travel, food, lodging, and, I took eight (yes, that's right eight) first-timers to Iowa games this year, showing off Iowa and our FB program,, and opening up my home for out-of-town visitors to stay, and attending the spring game and for 12 weeks revolving my weekends around and supporting the FB team, and the team quit, I should be jumping up and down?
Are you really going to PHX for this dog? Be honest.
I never soured on this team until the comments came out after the Minney game.
BTW...I am quite fun to be around. I just don't drink this team's Kool-Aid...not after the leaders admitted they quit.

Not that it makes you a "better" fan than I, but I made it to one game this year, the MSU game. Had tickets for OSU, but the guy who was going to go with has a wife who is pregnant with twins and who got put on bed rest the Tuesday before the game, so he had to back out and I had to sell them. Got 240 for them.
It's great that you have the cash to be able to spend "thousands" of dollars on Iowa football. Some of us don't. Doesn't make you any better.

Never said it did make me a better fan. Never even remotely inferred, stated, suggested, conjectured, surmised, deduced, construed, or presumed I was.
But since I'm not a tavern Hawk fan like you, and actually go and put forth effort
to support the team, it's the least I expect out of the FB team. Effort.

You're right. You just began with your post by asking me how many games I went to, as if that actually matters. Congratulations, you have enough disposable income where you can afford to spend that kind of money. If it wasn't your intention, why bring it up at all?
What the next Clone fan argument that you'll use? That since I didn't go to Iowa I can't be a fan?

So, yes, my opinion on Shada is he is a definitive TH.
Back to topic...this bowl game, this year, is a pig with lipstick. Nebby got hosed by the Big-XII, scUM gets picked ahead of Iowa, Iowa less than thrilled to be going there.
My point of bringing up my travels and expenditures (a point lost on some it seems), is I put forth effort. Real effort, in order to support the team. Gladly did it too. Never a regret, until immediately after the Minney game. I don't make a ton of buxx, but what discretionary income I do have in the Fall, goes to the FB team.
Why should I expect less of a product on the field, and if it was admitted by the leaders they quit, even worse?

The Insight Bowl is technically better than it was last year. Does it really matter? No, not really. It still isn't a great destination and it certainly is not what we were shooting for. Could it be worse? Sure it could be.
There is only one more Iowa game left this year so I will enjoy the hell out of it like I always do. Maybe we can get this not winning out west thing off of our backs.

I meant more in terms of bragging rights. While technically our Insight birth is better than last year when it was Minnesota and Iowa State it's not really worth bragging about (not that anyone is).
