The Insight Bowl is trying to grow as a bowl and get better teams then the past.

If the payout and pecking order this year was in place last year then no ISU and Minnesota don't play in it.

This year, it has elevated itself into a higher pick and more pay out.
But wait...it's still held on a work night you say?, begins at 10PM EST, with all cheap flights to PHX already being scooped up by holiday travelers, and, I'll still have to take 3 days off of work, right after Christmas, in order to see it? It basically is picking the sixth place Big-10 team and won't be watched by 50% of the country, which by the way will be the eastern half, which by the way is where Iowa likes to recruit?

You're right, it is so much better in Detroit in late December then it is in Phoenix.

Right because Illinois and Northwestern went to better bowls? It's definitely not the best, but it is far from the worst. It is the equivalent of the alamo bowl a couple years ago.

Might watch, definitely won't be going....not after traveling to Evanston and Minnesota, and seeing every home game in person while watching "leaders" on this team quit.

Fine, would you rather be in Jacksonville or Phoenix in late December? I know you will say Jacksonville, well next year the Insight picks before the Gator Bowl so these 2 are on par with each other, otherwise the Big Ten wouldn't have agreed to let them switch the picking order every other year.
So if Iowa goes to the Gator next year will people be ****** the Insight passed them up?

Hey, we've been hoping all season long that we'd be playing in Tempe this bowl season. Just happens to be a week or two sooner than wished for.
easy 'legend.' im saying no one besides hawk fans will watch the game. Mizzou doesnt travel well and this game has no excitement outside the states of Iowa and MIssourri.....so no one will watch it. Get it now?

No.. he is right. Nobody outside of Missouri and Iowa will give a hoot about this game besides die hard conference fans who will be cheering for conference bragging rights. This is one of the most upsetting bowl game selections ever. It isn't the Insight Bowl that is bad so much as Missouri. Missouri? Really? Argh? I would rather play Nebraska, I would rather play Boise St. I would rather rematch Arizona, Missouri... I mean who cares?
