Having a good QB with some moxy has been paramount. Too much stale play and lack of emotion the last 5 seasons.
I recall the juice that Ricky brought to the team despite throwing pick 6's. There was just an electricity about him that was contagious. CJ reminds me of Ricky I just hope KF does not muffle him. Tee it high and let it fly CJ!

What games do you actually watch? Where exactly is this "magic" concerning the offensive line? If I look at actual statistics regarding Iowa's offensive line rankings throughout the tenure of Ferentz I'm not seeing much along the lines of.....magic.

I agree. Jake started that game on a bad note with the red zone pick he threw in the 1st qtr. Then all the throws he missed late in the gm was awful.
What are you talking about? I haven't looked at stats but I'm guessing we had the highest yards per carry by a fullback in the nation.

And that was without any vertical passing game to speak of, and consistently 8-9 in the box.
Tons of issues 3 of the last 5 years...oline is very low on my overall list of concerns. This year there is a question mark or two on the line and depth is shaky, but for the last 12-15 years, for better or worse, oline is usually our strongest and most consistent position group overall.

Highest yards per carry by a fullback....who just also happens to be your feature tailback is actually no accomplishment to crow about.

No, I got it. Pretty sure he was stating Even with a fullback at tailback, we were able to run...cause we had a pretty good line. With a true tailback, and a downfield passing threat, it would have showed more.
I think I understood PC just fine. But you might not have.

We were able to run? NCAA stats for 2014 show we finished 61st in the nation with Weisman 95th as an individual. That was vs. an extremely poor schedule as well.
Not sure where that shows we were able to run.

Who said Kirk works miracles yearly. Just another cyfan way of putting something into an argument to fit your agenda. You are right. All these kids developed purely by luck and Iowa has never had a good offensive line. NFL teams have drafted Iowa lineman because they were charity cases.
It's always the same with you. Negative comments about every aspect of the Iowa program. Constantly try to put somebody down in order to try to elevate yourself. Constantly telling everyone how brilliant and successful you are. It's funny, of all the intelligent, wealthy, successful people I've ever met not one of them has ever felt the need to tell me they are.
