Im just saying, after watching a lot of teams play the last two weeks, neither KSU or Iowa are very good football teams. And by extension, ISU's ranking is beyond their real calibur. Time will prove my point
Welp that was a short season............................... on to basketball we go.At best, Iowa and KSU are 8-4/7-5 football teams. A Big 12 team with more than one loss isn’t getting into the playoff.
Ha! Ha! Good one…Welp that was a short season............................... on to basketball we go.
I think you're correct. Both the teams you mention have glaring weaknesses.Im just saying, after watching a lot of teams play the last two weeks, neither KSU or Iowa are very good football teams. And by extension, ISU's ranking is beyond their real calibur. Time will prove my point

Prior to the season, I thought Iowa was likely a 7-5 team, which included figuring Gronowski would be an average BTen QB. After the past 2 games, I'll be pleasantly surprised if Iowa gets to 6 wins. After UMass, there's not a single game you can put in the automatic 'Win' column at this point.
Growing pains??? We're an effing midget getting beat up by the 4'8" 195 lb fat ugly chick known as Iowa State. They will win 6-8 games this year. You brought Gronowski in to win 9 or 10. That ain’t happening. I realize I sound like a broken record, hindsight being what it is, Hank Brown or Jeremy Hecklinski could have been the starter this year, and got you 6-8 wins. Given that 1 of those 2 will likely be the starter next year…definitely would have been good to get the growing pains out now going into 2026.
You might be right that this season might be mediocre or bust or your prediction that the passing game won't improve but it seems very early for this complete lack of hope or resignation to suck in my view. The reality of your gloomy outlook will eventually hit me or the realization that my hope of improvement and a good and competitive season ending in a decent bowl game and maybe more will come to pass. Either way, the hope remains here and within the program which is much more important than all of us prognosticators and our predictions/poor outlooks.
