Im just saying, after watching a lot of teams play the last two weeks, neither KSU or Iowa are very good football teams. And by extension, ISU's ranking is beyond their real calibur. Time will prove my point

At best, Iowa and KSU are 8-4/7-5 football teams. A Big 12 team with more than one loss isn’t getting into the playoff.

Iowa is a very average team. Embarrassing performances and a possible low tier bowl will be the result. Future is glum as development of 2 star guys is a thing of the past. Iowa is B1G cannon fodder for the elite conference teams. But hey! You can still spend your thousands in tickets, parking, tailgating, bowl travel. ReliaQuest is the ceiling this year. That maybe too high!

I think you're correct. Both the teams you mention have glaring weaknesses.
Prior to the season, I thought Iowa was likely a 7-5 team, which included figuring Gronowski would be an average BTen QB. After the past 2 games, I'll be pleasantly surprised if Iowa gets to 6 wins. After UMass, there's not a single game you can put in the automatic 'Win' column at this point.

They will win 6-8 games this year. You brought Gronowski in to win 9 or 10. That ain’t happening. I realize I sound like a broken record, hindsight being what it is, Hank Brown or Jeremy Hecklinski could have been the starter this year, and got you 6-8 wins. Given that 1 of those 2 will likely be the starter next year…definitely would have been good to get the growing pains out now going into 2026.
