Maybe you should check out the yards per rush stat. Our defense was only "not bad" if you compare them to our offense.
That number expanded as the game wore on and Wisky gave up the pass... Interesting dichotomy.

An offense hater. This is not why Iowa wins or loses ball games. Both units must be held accountable to the same standards. They did. Look at the field position they had to defend all day
The poster meant Iowa's rush defense was bad in the Wisconsin game. To think otherwise, is an offense hater or, at least, a lover of mediocrity. That number expanded as the game wore on and Wisky gave up the pass... Interesting dichotomy.

Couldn’t disagree more actually. Wisconsin dominated in time of possession because our offense was so terrible and couldn’t stay on the field. No team in the country is going to be able to hold up against Wisconsin if they are asked to stay on the field for nearly 40 minutes.
If it wasn’t for how well our defense played this game could have been something like a 50-0 drubbing.
If you don’t understand how an offense getting only 5 first downs in a college game makes it nearly impossible for a defense, I would say you have a severe lack of understanding of the game of football. They arent asked to stay on the field that long. They choose to stay on the field that long by not getting off the field. They ran all over us starting on the first play of the game.

Iowa’s defense did get off the field. They forced 4 turnovers and 5 punts. That is 9 stops.
Dude, with 7 minutes left in the third quarter the Iowa defense was playing a top 10 team to a 14-17 game and our offense was still on the bus. Then our offense got off the bus just in time to give the badgers defense a free seven points on a fumble TD.
Take away the garbage time TD at the end after an Iowa fumble and the 7 from the badgers defensive touchdown and our defense just played Wisconsin to a 14-24 game on the road.
You are so so wrong on this one.
they did... 14 pts at least off our turnovers that I can remember.
Stanley and the receiver core was just dreadful.
At least on Monday, for me their lives have to be living hell for the level of play they exhibited today.
Receivers that can't catch a inaccurate QB with no touch.
They didn't look like scholarship players today.

Iowa’s defense allowed 382 yards. Their season average is 371 (41st in the country). But remember they were on the field for 63% of the game, which is well above their season average of roughly 50%.I'm wrong in your eyes because you think I'm comparing how the defense played to how our offense played. Our defense got run on starting with the first play. Obviously the guy with 2 pick 6s and a forced fumble played great. Other than that, I'm sure the rest of the defense is pretty embarrassed at how they were physically no match from the opening snap.
