Neither Scout or Rivals have him listed as a commit to Southern Miss. Rivals has him as a prospect with offer, but not a commit. Scout doesn't have him listed anywhere on their site.

One of the articles said he was asked to take a drug test and refused, and on Twitter that's why he was claiming he got booted. FWIW...

Funny thing is that if he plays D1 basketball he will have to submit to drug testing on a regular basis.

It's possible that Rivals is just wrong and has been wrong since November. Recruiting sites regularly have incorrect info on mid-majors. If USM had released him from his LOI at some point, it would have definitely been publicized news.

True. I just find it odd that scout doesn't even have him listed anywhere on the site.
