Does win at Penn State get us ranked?

Northwestern is probably hoping that we are ranked heading in to our matchup so they can just beat another ranked Iowa team.

How PSU ever gets ranked to start the season is beyond me, there must not be an actual thought process going on with those votes.

PSU is garbage this year. They have 2 blowout wins against FCS teams, 2 wins over less than avg teams in Temple(by 4 points) and Indiana(by 6 points), and a loss against the only good team they've played in Alabama. A win for Iowa should be expected here and no it's not enough to get ranked.

I don't see it happening. Like others have said we need these next two for us to be ranked.

I think if we can win our next 4 we are around 15.

I think it will take beating everyone leading up to Michigan and then beating the Wolverines to get ranked. Not alot of love out there for Iowa and the BIG which is to be expected right now.

I think 5-1 gets us in. 6-1 absolutely. 1 game at a time fellas!

No. Our loss was to an instate rival everybody thinks is a joke after they got beat down on national tv. If ISU had more credibility than yes, since they got wood-shedded on saturday the answer to that question is no. 6-1 , maybe gets us ranked.

I think we would have to hang 50 on PSU to get ranked. Otherwise we will have to beat NW, and even then we might only be on the fringe.

Beating PSU will be more about the downfall of PSU than the rise of Iowa in most everyone else's eyes.

No... We are not a top 25 football team in the nation even if we come out and put it to Penn State. If anything it will just justify the critics of Penn State. "No wonder they could barely beat Temple or Indiana."
