Does UNI Success hurt IOWA?

Has Iowa State been successful? Its nice they made the NCAA tournament this year, but I wouldn't say they were really that successful. I like to think Iowa is going to be more and more successful in the future, but I don't see how it would happen at Iowa State or UNI.

Are you insane? ISU has had a really nice run the last few years. Not elite but successful by nearly any definition and certainly with respect to previous eras. You must have blinders on.

Highly successful in the cyfan world is losing to a #14 seed in the first round and winning the national championship last year with a healthy Niang. In the real world we deal with things that actually happened like success in the NCAA tournament this year.

ISU has done more than Iowa has in terms of NCAA success, as of late, too. Sweet 16 last year, Top 3 seed the last 2 years, NCAA Round of 32 in 2012 & 2013.. Iowa has ONE win in the NCAA's since 2001.

But my point was that I worry about ISU having success and taking away recruits from Iowa, more than I do UNI or Drake. Iowa's major in-state competitor is ISU. I don't think that's debatable.
