Does Iowa Want the 6th Seed?

I'm just really confused. When I looked at the bracket that was previously posted it showed the 6th seed playing Michigan and I really don't think that would be good to play Michigan. I could really use some help to understand this mess.
Thank you.

Is Michigan locked in as the 3 seed though? Or could we end up the 7 seed and Michigan the 2, and play them anyway? I am not sure of the possibilities.

One thing for sure, Iowa needs to beat Nebraska on Saturday. If that makes them the 6 seed, so be it. Wherever the chips fall - Iowa will have to take whatever hand it's dealt.

Absolutely true. Iowa just needs to beat Nebraska

Yes, we want the 6 seed. The alternative is a loss to Nebraska...the most likely scenario to knock us out of the 6 seed. It also guarantees we get NW in the 1st round of the BTT...currently the weakest team in the conference IMO.

The 3 seed is far from settled. I'm taking Indiana to beat Michigan which puts both of these teams on the other side of the bracket. I desperately want the 6 seed.

After watching Michigan the past month, I would welcome and opportunity to get them again in the BTT and Im sure Mccaffery would as well. So perimeter oriented and Iowa defends out there very well, Iowa didnt defend at all the first time they played. I think Basabe, White and Woodbury would have a big day in the paint.

So much fluidity in the seeding right now. A ton of scenarios.
Couple with the fact that almost anyone can beat anyone on a given night, nothing is safe.

I want Iowa to finish as high as possible in the final B10 standings, we're going to need to beat good teams to get in the NCAA's no matter where we are seeded

Plus If Iowa finishes sixth and they take Illinois, and Minnesota who would finish 7th and 8th to the tournament I think that helps the Iowa argument not a lot or not even a game changer, but helps a little.

This, unlike any last few days of season schedule I can recall...seriously the 1st through 9th seeds are totally up in the air right now with three days left in the season.

I think we're all just better off waiting to see what happens. I don't think it really matters who we get 1st or 2nd round, Iowa will have to play well to win, and if they do, they'll be much closer to selection.

The Hawks have to beat Nebby. And I hope the Hawks end up finishing 6th. And get MG back completely healthy for the BTT.

Lose to NE and all this talk ceases to matter anyway. Lets not do that.

Gary Barta should already be talking to Mark Hollis daily. He's our voice in the room. He knows the standings. He knows Marble wasn't right for a few games. Well...he knows all of this if Barta is working him and making sure he knows.
