I've always wondered how many posters "vanish" because they passed. I had a scare last spring where I nearly bit it. I was resuscitated, spent some time in the hospital, (I'm perfectly fine now), but always wondered if something like that ever happened to any poster that just stopped posting.

Thanks! Really weird deal. Passed out, no heart beat. EMT's did CPR, I woke up in the ER quoting "Dumb and Dumber". No idea why.

Last Oct. I got so sick of the political crap. I don't recall how I did it but I went to my *account and followed the instructions. It really pissed Facebook off because they bombarded me for the next 6 months, to sign back up. I'd like to walk you through it...but I don't have an account and I don't want to sign back up.

My dad a few months before he died had a cardiac arrest. In the ambulance they had to shock him 5 different times to bring him back. He'd pick up the conversation right where he left off when his heart stopped.

I and other people have PM’ed him, he confided in some posters here last year that his health was failing and it was to the point where he wasn’t able to post anymore. It sounded like whatever he had he said wasn’t going to get better.

I don’t want to sound obtuse, but someone’s profile being intact doesn’t mean they’re still around. People don’t go around and delete their accounts when something like that happens.

Totally understand that. Just hate to see us all posting "R.I.P." if he is still with us.

Doc had cancer and refused any and all treatment. Miss him being on HN.

My Mom refused treatment when diagnosed (she was 82, however). Some times people just "know" that treatment isn't really "treating" anything...

That is really weird.

Let's just say I was a little loopy, had lots of fluids pumped in me, and had to pee A LOT into bottles, so you can probably guess which part I was quoting.

I'm including a Husker beatdown since they are now on the same level as the Clones (maybe even a step below), and our 2nd little brother. It's also been one year since the Bugeaters have won a game. The good Doc would be pleased.
