Do you think the way Fant was used today solidifies his departure to the NFL

So you’re saying they are (maybe) intentionally playing 10 vs. 11 ....
No, I just can't figure out why he isn't doing as well as I thought he would. It just doesn't seem like he is getting as many balls thrown to him as he should, prob why his bother threw that Tweet out there a few weeks ago. It just seems like something is not right with Noah and his role with our offense

I think fant should go pro, he’s set to get paid and good for him. He is woefully underused at Iowa.

That being said...I think hockenson is better and losing fant is not going to be a massive jolt.
You think Hock is sticking around?

If I was Fant I'd get the F out of dodge if they aren't going to use their best players on offense which are clearly Hock and Fant, nobody else can scratch their asses as far as offensive talent at the skill positions go.

Fant is gone guys. It's a dead topic. The team knows it and the coaches know it. It's known.

The "the other team is trying too" narrative is so lame. So we should lose every game then? Of course they're trying.

So we should lose every game? What does that even mean? "The other team is trying too" narrative is actually a really good one. It's like some people really dont get that and they think as long as we do what we should do, we will win. That's not the case. The other team is trying too. Maybe they are doing what they should do.

What happened in the fourth quarter was they started using Fant and Hockenson on the line of scrimmage with their hand down. Penn State switched out of double covering them to play against the run. Both tight ends were releasing from their blocks in the fourth quarter on pass plays.
I can't understand why they don't run Fant in motion behind the LOS. That keeps his release clean and makes it impossible to double team him effectively. Do it out of run sets too. If they choose to double team him, it draws another defender out of the box. let him block a Corner in these situations.

For like the 40th f-ing time Hock CANT leave. He’s not eligible for the draft.
His Bio says that he redshirted in 2016.....so, he CAN leave for the NFL. He has to be 3 years removed from high school to be eligible. He's eligible for the NFL draft after this season.

Yeah that 3rd quarter play for a huge gain should have been in the 4th right?? Shut up
In fairness, that was a pass behind the LOS. Fant's ability made that a huge gain. They called that same play again and it went for a loss. That's not the ideal way to use a player that's 6'5 and runs and jumps like a deer.
Now, I don't personally care how they choose to use players in this offense. But I'm guessing you won't see many plays like that called for Fant in the NFL. I'd bet on it, in fact.

The problem is not that we are intentionally not using Fant out of some kind of vindictiveness. That's delusional conspiracy theory overreaction.

The problem is that our QBs and coaches are so robotic and tightly wound when it comes to the Xs and Os that they forget the individual player.

When Stanley steps to the line, he's not thinking "Noah can dominate this guy, so I'm going to make them pay..." He's thinking about reading the defensive alignment and determining which routes are the safest. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but, our coaches need to understand the importance of miss-matches, and how to instill that in our QBs. It's been an issue for a long time.

Remember Mr.Akrum "split wide" por favor? Not Ronnie Harmon but....

Wadley was never moved to the WR position that I'm aware of. I think that's what he was referring to. Being split out wide on a handful of occasions isn't what we are talking about. He probably should have been put there. He would have been our most effective WR by a long shot.
