See, I said this same thing and was chastized for it.
Tournament teams do not lose to Campbell, Clemson, and they most certainly do not lose to B10 bottom feeders Nebraska and Penn State.

We will be lucky to get to 6-12 in conference play, let alone 10-8. If we can't even beat the worst team in the Big 10 I will be shocked if we can beat anyone else the rest of the season.
I'm still bitter that a 35% free throw shooter magically goes 2 for 2 in crunch time after Basabe goes 0-2. We were very much in that game until that crap. Only against Iowa would such a poor free throw shooter make both free throws at that point in the game. I am convinced that our basketball program is cursed.

I agree with you that the B1G is the best conference this year. In the history of college basketball though? Not even close.

People need to stop talking about this Iowa team making the NCAA Tournament. Ain't happening.
And no, getting to 10-8 wouldn't get us in. As others have pointed out, our OOC was way to weak.. If this team won out, it would probably still take at least a couple more BTT wins to get in. Even then, I'm not sure.
If I'm thinking correctly, winning out + 2 more BTT wins (with a loss in the BTT as well) would put us at 20-14. I doubt that would cut it.

I was just thinking back to our B10 tourney runs under Alford. Dang, those were a fun 3-4 days in March. Would love to experience that again sooner rather than later.

they won't win out but if they did then i will say yes they will make it if they win 1 in big ten tourney. The bubble is very weak this year. Creighton has lost what 3 straight and they still are in. They are a good team team and deserves to be in but on a stronger year a team from the mvc would drop out with that many losses in a row. On Joe's last bracket he had Northwestern in first four out. We would have wins over tourney teams:
Wisconsin x 2
Michigan
Indiana
Illinois ( I think they will make it)
Minnesota x 2 (in Joe's first 4 out)
