Do bowl games mean anything anymore?

There was always something cool about ending your season with a win, or your career in the case of the seniors.

For decades college bowl games were one of the few examples where this still existed. Now the times are a changing and that feeling is ending even in college football.

By the way the Dylan reference in there is in honor of going to his movie today (Christmas Day)

There are two ways to approach bowl games. One is to put everything you have into winning. The other is to treat the trip as a vacation reward. If you are not one of the national finals teams I think you should make it a vacation.

I'm sure it matters to the players and coaches. If it matters to you, you probably need to look in the mirror and figure out some stuff.

I see bowl games now as a springboard going into the next season. It is a good way to evaluate a roster in a bunch of different ways.
