Do blowups hurt recruiting?

Merely scraping some gum off the bottom of his shoe. Perfectly legitimate......

Besides slamming the chair, that is about as bad as I have seen Fran get after a player and Marble had no issues with it after the game. I think there were times last season we all wanted to get into Marbles face a little, there was a stretch of games where he completely fell apart.

I also have to throw in the convo that every Iowa player we've seen are always under control and do not, do not ever talk back to the ref's (not that I've noticed anyway). I noticed in Sunday's game, every time an injustice occurred against Wisci, their players reacted, hands went up, dumb looks on their faces, Bo doing the same thing....Last night's game (ISU/Baylor), same thing, OSU/MSU, same thing....We all have to commend our players on their behavior....Let the players play and the coaches coach, I guess....

That's hilarious. I like how the ref that tossed him bolts out of there (almost like he felt he did something wrong) and didn't join the other 2 refs standing there. He didn't want to face Fran's wrath.

Haha. Gotta love it

It might turn off some recruits, but it will probably attract a lot more. The publicity Iowa is getting from having a passionate coach that will stick up for his players should be good for the program with the effort the basketball staff puts into recruiting. Almost all positive or negative publicity will only help a program. Iowa state gets a lot of publicity for taking high profile basketball rejects from other programs, but the recruits know hoiberg will play them over other guys already in the program. It might hurt his recruiting in Iowa, but outside of Iowa it will attract recruits.

So are you saying the transfer things has negatively impacted ISU's recruiting or helped it?
I don't see it as hurting it (maybe that is what you are saying.)

The top kids want to play for coaches they have a good relationship with, and have a system that is fun to play in, and have a chance to play in the post season. If the relationship is there, they should pretty much know what they are getting into. Bob Knight got some great recruits, and there was no question what it was going to be like to play for him.

He's telling the maintanence crew to take out that stupid credit card and replace it with a picture of Grinch face!

He knew he had a good tongue lashing coming and was going to get it. He quickly discovered that hiding with the cheerleaders wasn't going to save him.
