DMRag trolling Hawk fans...

Radio and TV in DSM are drooling over the whole thing. I don't get it. They keep comparing it to the Long Horn Network. The difference is Texas has probably 10 times the fans that would view their station and they are backed by ESPN. Cyclones.tv is probably ran out of some kids dorm room.

Well, to be fair, if AT&T U-Verse hadn't started carrying the LHN then cyclones network probably would have had more potential viewers than LHN in the home market. I'd still wager that only about 5-10% of the area has LHN because TWC still doesn't have LHN, nor does DTV.

its at least a step in the right direction now its gets them statewide TV coverage. that's still better than no TV coverage.

This is how pathetic the reality of this situation really is. ISU will have one non-conference home football game on channel 22 per year, next year likely vs UNI.

Basketball will have 5 non-conference games on channel 22 as well. Not a single game will be in HD due to bandwith issues, this is str8 from some clown at Mediascam who was on the radio here in the 515.

When asked if the games will be in HD he danced around the question then replied with not right now hopefully in the future. Inferring that ISU will be in standard def for many years to come.

This is a joke plain and simple this is not Texas Athletics Channel, why the media keeps spinning it that way is absurd.

This is not a big deal, this is what big 12 teams have to do with their 3rd tier rights in result of not sharing with conference members and forming a network. This is a simple business decision for isu, but cyclone tv will not make near as much money for isu as a big 12 network would. Jealous? Certainly not.

The Des Moines Register was once a well respected newspaper. Was once. Mediacom was once a well, never mind.

ISU fans should be stoked about this. Ratings will be through the roof for Women's Soccer, Volleyball, Softball and Gymnastics. Such an untapped market. Jealous.
