DJK cut by Barnstormers

Djk was not that talented yet all the message board fanboys had huge crushes on him.
If he was that good he would be in the NFL....ray lewis is still playing for gods sake

FAIL, DJK without a doubt would of got a shot if he didn't get into all that trouble. Ray Lewis is one of the best NFL linebackers to ever play the game, some may say THE best. Teams tend to let a few things slide under the rug for a hall of famer.

Nobody knew who he was before he got in trouble.

ray lewis is just one example of many examples in the NFL of if you have talent, you will be paid to play.

It is more likely that he was just a distraction/headache since GM said no off field problems. Remember he is like a less talented Terrell Ocho Cinco.

Ummm what? DJK would have been a 4-5 round draft pick if he hadn't gotten in trouble. You don't have the type of career that he did without being talented. He would have helped a lot of teams out with his kick return ability, too.

if he had the ability that nfl teams were looking for, he'd be an nfl player.

given he was viewed as marginal at-best, the off the field problems shut that door, imo.

Apparently Marty has the "real" story at 3 pm today on his radio show (eye roll).

LOL, Marty Tirrel has the same sources as your average message board poster.

No one would tell that moron anything.

He pretends to be a big shot and is unaware that no one takes him seriously.

That's how I see it too...you can put up with things if players have the talent (ala my point about Ray Lewis) but DJK didn't so you don't put up with it.

I just hope Rob Howe gets to the bottom of this and press these questions to KF after a loss. It's obvious this kid is talented enough for the NFL but to blacklist him from ArenaBall is going to far!!!!!

Not true, if you have elite talent they will overlook things.

Ray Lewis is the worst example you could possible make.

For every Ray Lewis there is probably a hundred DJKs who teams have passed on because there is no reason to take a risk on a such a player.

That dosent mean they weren't good enough to make it, that just means there are plenty of other guys good enough to make it without drug and ego problems.

DJK was not an elite talent but easily good enough to make a roster.

I don't think anyone on here was thinking DJK was a 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd round pick, but to think that his off field problems had nothing to do with him not getting drafted is stupid. At the very least, someone would of stuck him on a practice squad.

I think you guys are both saying the same thing...

Hope DJK makes the best chance of the CFL chance. The debate on whether or not he would have made it on an NFL team in 2011 is moot. He'll have a shot to get back. I hope he does.

One thing working against him in this era of NFL is the shorter kickoff/increased touchback rule. That is going to place less value on KOR specialists who might be borderline position players.

thanks for helping me out there, as I THINK he is agreeing with me.

the list is long of guys who are playing in the NFL who have a rap sheet much, much longer than DJK. DJK's problem isn't his rap sheet, it's his talent level. The NFL will pay you if you have the talent.

How many current NFL players are playing after a stint in PRISON? DJK didn't even spend a day in jail, if I remember correctly.
