Directv screwing outback bowl

Directv screwing outback bowl fans. Evidently abc and directv are battling and directv has dropped abc. What the hell? This is bs. Any chance the game gets switched to ESPN

Not sure where you are but Channel 8 in Des Moines CBS is off the air due to a contract that expired at end of year and haven't reached new terms.

Outback bowl is on channel 5 so I don't think those of us in Des Moines will have issues.

Not a surprise. Cable/satellite companies have no problem screwing their customers but if a local channel wants an increase the satellite company stops broadcasting the channel screwing the customer more and then they call for their customers to call the local channel to complain. I will never have direct tv. If you want to break your contract with them call them and tell them you're being placed in a nursing home which won't allow satellite dishes. They'll let you out of your contract with no penalty.

Yeah, that's the type of lowbrow shit I'm looking for.

I enjoy my directv. A little expensive sure. More upset with MLB for blackout rules..other than that..directv is great.

No ABC in Kc. Directv says they're sorry but nothing can be done. Aholes. I'll drop them next week.

If you are in KC just bite the bullet and go to The Other Place, in Overland Park. It will be standing room only with Iowa fans. Try to ge there an hour before they open, which might just be 8 am, to get a seat. They will be tailgating outside in the parking lot before they open the doors. You will not be disappointed.

All of the sports in general are driving the cost up not the cable companies.People want more live sports which drives advertisement cost up,we're the problem not them.

I have cable and ABC is off the air! I'm so pissed that I can't get the Iowa game! A person waits forever to watch it and then they pull this crap!!!!!!!!

Go out and purchase one of those digital antenna's, chances are good you can get these stations for free. They are getting cheap and some can get stations 50 miles away.

I called Mediacom and they said it should be on. About 10 minutes later it came back on! I was about to have huge meltdown!

yes ABC stations are ota so just get some kind of antenna, old rabbit ears should even work

What the hell are you talking about. Watching ABC right now

i'll say this. i'm tulsa and yesterday i wanted to watch the NYG @ WASH game but my Fox station wasn't carrying the game; in fact, they put a disclaimer on the screen. but after that game, i was able to watch my Fox channel. So, i hope Dirctv doesn't cut just the game, on ABC, today.

Hopefully we're all in the clear. It hasn't been out yet for me. Rose parade is on now

It's not all the fault of DirecTV. Negotiations between any cable company and the local channels happen all the time. When they can't reach an agreement, that is when the channel goes off the air. But the local channel is just as much, if not more, to blame. They are the ones holding out for higher fees, which in turn increases your monthly bill to your cable company. I live in Iowa City and the same thing happened here two years ago with DirecTV. It took 2-3 months for them to reach an agreement. It does suck. I suggest, as others have, getting an antenna.
