And folks came down hard on Iowa when we had a few bad apples ... and most of the issues alcohol related and nonviolent.

For nearly EVERY year that Dantonio has been at MSU, they've had a guy busted for something pretty major. Why do places like Iowa and PSU get our nose rubbed in it when we have a bad year (or two) ... and yet folks don't seem to give MSU quite as much crap?

It's because we're winning very consistently lately. Them...not so much.
 
Whoa, take it easy on Sparty. My good buddy is a Sparty grad, good guy. We had Everson and Dominique, those are the "average" guys coming out of Michigan, you just have to deal with that when you recruit those dudes. MSU's team is full of those guys, but it ain't their fault. Why are you so racist?

Correct. I wonder if part of it has to deal with the fact that folks simply don't expect things like that to happen as much at Iowa. However, given how badly the state of Michigan got hit by the bad economy ... maybe it's simply a more expected/accepted reality there ... and so folks give them a pass. I don't know ...

First of all whats with the race card?

Second I live now in Michgan and yes sparty has many many many problems with the law. Way more than Iowa or Penn State. Dantonio is doing what I think is a good job. Hes is forced to take lets say problem or risky recruits because big brother UM takes their pick first. Taking risky recruits and throw them into East Lansing and this is bound to happen. If you dont know East Lansing has a lot of crime and this is a party school. Dantonio is trying to turn a corner from what I see. This is coming from a guy who hates MSU more than any school anywhere. Everytime I go there to see my Hawks it sucks they suck fans suck tailgating sucks stadium sucks Lansing sucks. Two years ago I had tickets given to me for the Michigan Michigan State game(which I wore my Iowa hoodie for) I personally saw three fist fights inside the stadium. Its not just the players.

Side Note Kurt Cousins wanted to be a Hawk.
 
Yeah, MSU has some problems. Every year they have major stuff. Last year it was the frat deal and I think two years ago GlenWinston spent a summer in jail then returned to the team.

Yes, its a matter of expectations. And what is viewed as acceptable in different areas pf the country.
