Wow! Talk about contradicting yourself. You say we don't want somebody's sloppy seconds but then say we need a hoerun. I would prefer that we hit a homerun of a good hire. That's just me though.

A coach who gets fired by one of the insignificant programs in Division I basketball is "more qualified than Keno"?

I'm sure Spiraw is a great guy, and it's nice that his relatives show up on message boards every time a coaching change is discussed; but c'mon now; he was only average in a weak conference. I'm not calling for Keno, but I'd give up on Iowa BB if we hired Spiraw.

I played for Speraw years ago and he is a great coach. He has Lute written all over him, but the problem would be recruitting. I don't think Kirk could bring in the talent we need to win a Big ten title.
