Depth Chart for Purdue Game

Yep, hate to see RS Senior out there struggling. I've come to the conclusion that - usually - If a guy isn't on the 2-deep roster by year 3 in the program, this is what you get. Usually if they don't make the 2-deep after 3 years in the program, we don't see them at all. Usually.

They were 3 stars coming out I believe, and maybe that is what they actually are/were. Just kind of average.

He did, but the fact he's still on the #1 line is frustrating.

Ince may have made some mistakes too, but he's younger and has a higher ceiling. Landan has had his shot, and unfortunately hasn't gotten it done.

Most of the time Paulsen seemed to do okay at Tackle when Jackson was out. Now granted that was not against great teams, but he had also played it some last season. Why not try him out there and Jackson as guard.

Ask yourself this: would YOU put a Paulsen Twin at LT OVER Alaric Jackson? Under ANY scenario?

Not me, that's for damn sure.

....or...maybe...those Nose Guards for UM and PSU are exceptional and are schooling everyone.

They are better than Suh or Aaron Donald. Early first rounders, multiple pro bowls in their future. The o-line is fine. Iowa will win out and still slide into the Rose Bowl. Iowa 63, Oregon 9.

He has played there and I don't recall thinking he was atrocious. He may have been at RT and Wirfs over to LT. And yes leave Jackson in at Guard. Get the best 5 out there regardless.

They are certainly damn good. Windsor is having a great year.

But far too many of our mistakes on the OL have been mental rather than just getting beat.

Indeed, Hankins playing is a big upgrade...vs Penn St. when they tried the RB flea-flicker to his side he didn't bite on the fake at all and the RB ended up having to keep the ball and take a 3-4 yd loss. I'm not a huge Welch fan, but when he was injured the entire 4th Qtr and Doyle had his first meaningful snaps at middle LB, it was not pretty. There was a reason the Nits kept pounding the middle of Iowa's defense...he was a step slow at reacting to everything he saw, which would be natural. A tough spot to get your first meaningful snaps at the college level. With Purdue on the horizen, time to break out this year's version of the 4-2-5 with Moss/Brents in and Welch/Doyle out.

Moss and Brents - you mean the 2 guys that are out for the season with injuries??? Niiiiiiiiiiiiice.

My mistake. I was under the impression a couple weeks ago that they were both done for the season. Looks like I know as little as most of the other posters... ;):(;):(o_Oo_Oo_O
Or as much as a few other posters
;)

Could it be part of some master plan to only play Moss and Brents in 4 total games each this season and redshirt them both?
I’m thinking that’s the case for Brents. He played special teams the Michigan game but was wearing a knee brace. With Hankins back he didn’t play last week. With OJ, Hankins, DJ, and Moss and if Brents is still limited athletically with a brace it makes sense. I really hope we don’t screw around and lose Brents to a transfer though.

I read this post, began to grin suspecting that I knew the author, glaced at the Icon and good O'l Okeefe
