My sympathies to those who are Catholic or to anyone who feels a loss at his passing. He was a kind and gentle person.

The world he faced during his service was enough to destroy a lesser man. He will be missed. Rest in Peace, Pope Francis.

He was fine. He had his detractors. There are people within every organization, even the chruch who aim to gin up conflict and controversey. The chruch has been in termoil for 2,000 years. Beset with corruption at times, scandal at times, and administrative / oprational incompetence most of the time. One might step back and think the fact that its still around through all of this is evidence what Jesus said. Peter you on rock an on this rock I will build my church and the the forces of evil shall not pevail against it. (or something like that).
