What was Iowa’s record against OSU and MICH from 2005-2022? Same years, PSU vs Iowa?

During that time frame the Hawks are:
5 & 6 vs the Ganders
1 & 6 vs the Bucknuts
5 & 7 vs Pedo State
And for the coming week: Iowa is 6 & 10 vs the BADgers from '05 - '22

Here's another little stat to chew on for those of you who think all is fine as long as Iowa wins.

The hawks have completed 20 passes to WR through 6 games. Army, who runs the triple option has completed 34 friggin passes to WR.

You don't see an offensive problem here?

Yes, but Snyder could get anyone into KSU who he wanted. "What's that, you have a 1.3 GPA at juco and a pending felony charge? No problem."

Iowa has had plenty of years where we have been at close to parity with the big dogs. Sure, we didn't always come out on top, but when games are coming down to Terrelle Pryor making big plays on 4th and 10 for Ohio to beat us we are right there with them. Problem is it has been a few years since we have had the balance to be competitive with those folks, but that's not to say Kurt Ball is hopeless.

I never heard of a K-state player getting in trouble. Iowa's had a few.

Also, Iowa does not have the highest academic standards in the big ten.

And it's still hard to recruit to Manhattan Kansas no matter what.

I'm not doing that research but I'll guess terrible with tOSU and surprisingly better than that with Michigan and better yet with PSU. I'm guessing we were dogs in virtually every win. You surely do not assert Iowa is in the same strata as those three programs?
Absolutely not. But there is some history with Michigan and PSU that stands out.

Thank you. I thought I remembered that Iowa’ recent records against Mich and PS U were reasonably competitive. I still recall Hayden‘s comment after an ass kicking of the rodents in Madison: “ I hope we didn’t hurt any of your boys.”

I really don' t know if Joey is the answer either at QB. I remember the Music City Bowl in way different fashion than all of you if everyone thinks Labas is the remedy for our offense.

I do know this, nobody is getting fired if the Hawkeyes are 10-2 even with non-existent QB play. And we might still be a 10-2 team with only one true road game left after this week against Rutgers and the worst 4 teams in the West.

Thank you for remaining positive. I don't get it. The guy has one middling game and the fans melt down. Unreal. The kid is fine, the team is fine, the program is fine. This offense is like a coiled spring just waiting to explode upward. It's going to happen this weekend. Just wait.
We hope your correct

Huck, that was Northwestern, and it fueled the psycho Fitzgerald for decades of hatred.

Yeah, we have had more success under KF against Michigan (the school Kirk hates) and Penn St than anyone since Evy. Those are such big and oversized memories precisely because it's our little school, from our little state, a David if you will, slaying huge Goliath schools from huge states that have more of everything but grit and execution. That is precisely what I mean by Ferentz has kept us punching way above our weight.

Yup. You are correct. It was NW. I do recall, however, Iowa beating up on WI for a pretty long stretch. I certainly agree with your post.

Geez, Iowa not in the same strata as the big 3. The Hawks should just save themselves the trouble with risking injury and humiliation by just forfeiting these games.

I see KF saying all these years we're just Iowa and can't compete against the big 3 has brainwashed at least one person.

I never heard Bill Snyder say that at K-State when recruiting against Oklahoma and the Texas schools. Have you ever been to Manhattan, KS? No offense Manhattan, but what an awful place as compared to Iowa City.
Manhattan was one of the cities nuked in the 1980's Day After movie.

Probably improved the scenery.

He USED to is a more accurate description. I was a fan of KF and still am just a little. But when he hired BF as the OC, he started losing my support which doesn't mean squat to him I know. But this is a hard team to watch on Saturday's when the offense is on the field.

At this pace there's one potential positive. BF will be out of a job at Iowa by years end IF the interim AD has the nads to follow the his contract. If KF goes with him, so be it.

If so, Iowa may well have some down years unless she hires a homerun coach. I trust her, at least at this point, much more than her predecessor.
