Dave Revsine: MN and Illinois could play for the title

I'm watching the replay of the football special and I cannot believe Dave just said to Delany with a straight face, and in the same context of UM and OSU potentially playing two games in a row, i.e. last regular season game and conference championship game, that you could have a similar situation with MN and Illanoy who also play the last game of the year. WTF??

I thought it was pretty clear that Revsine was just being politically correct. I mean really, how bad would it have looked for a BTN anchor (who is NOT a member of an opinion show like Jon) to LAUGH at the idea of Minnesota and Illinois playing two weeks in a row? It's possible, and he threw it out there so that it didn't seem like it was only Michigan and OSU who could fall into that situation.

Correct. Purely hypothetical.

PJ, I think you are severely underestimating the power of Zook and Brewster.

Hence my need to be vocally proactive in saying that my two favorite B10 coaches (outside of KF) are Ron Zook and Timmy Brewster. For obvious reasons. If they could continue to win just enough games every year to stay employed I'd be more than elated...as long as they're not beating Iowa of course. :)

^This!:D

I would love to have a statistician actually calculate the odds of this happening. I'm actually curious as to what the figure would be... 10,000-to-one, 1M-to-one? I don't know, but I'd believe any number over 10K.
