Damond Powell shot

I guess Damond Powell got shot in the face last night. Luckily his injuries aren't supposed to be life threatening.

That's not good. Maybe was hanging around the wrong people or could have just been a random victim. I haven't heard the circumstances surrounding this. My prayers go out to him.

What is almost as disturbing in that story is the fact that they reference Powell as being an NFL football player with the Cardinals, and how our brilliant offensive masterminds saw fit to target him once per game when we had one of the worst receiving corps out there. What an utter waste of talent.

We could have thrown it to him more, but it would have to have been at the expense of stretch plays to our fullback. There just aren't enough plays in a game to do both.

JR also needed to make sure he met the Kfed quota of 17 check downs per game. Why go deep when the safeties are at 8 yards, execution, that's football...

If he's a weapon you find ways to utilize them, something KF lacks and has especially lacked since KOK left.

Seriously, come on. The kid was shot last night, but you seem fit to take as an opportunity to slam the coaches. Shame on you.

Hopefully DP can make a quick and full recovery.

focus on your day job.

Thank the Lord that it wasn't alot worse than it was. Hopefully Powell will have a full quick recovery.

6 posts. It took only 6 posts to get this thread into a **** on the staff/KirFer thread. Had someone not need to come in and provide a link (and another admitting that link adding isn't their forte, it could've been quicker).

Wow.

In a separate note... I'm hoping for a quick recovery for DP.

Stop living under a Rock. The Truth hurts and it's what happens when you bring up something Iowa football Related.

Yea part of me thinks there is no reason to make every thread into a bash Kirk thread. But the other part thinks "yea good point".

Let's hope for a quick recovery. The ones that can't let last year go I hope you don't have season tickets because this team doesn't need you at the games. Go Hawks

That guy at the bar/party that nobody wants to talk to because he has the same conversation with the same tired/wore out talking points.

*yeah I know... Kurt's the one who's tired/wore out. Grumble grumble grumble*

I don't know what's more sad (or is it sadder). The fact that we can't talk about a young man who was shot in the face without it immediately going into a butt hurt diatribe about how KirFer is the worst; or the fact that there's plenty or people who stand up and say, welp that's just the way it is.

Shaking. My. Head.

I think you're making a risky assumption. Let's pretend, for just a moment, that this d-bag really is a lawyer. With his attitude would you retain him? The only place I can imagine him practicing law is in a government civil service job. It's hard to get rid of them.
