Wait, so every thing I read here isn't fact. FML I used this website in my disertation last week.

Ok, i jumped in midstream. so all the talk about wednesday was not part of the original story? norm getting replaced mid season was not part of the story? yeah, i missed the boat then on this one.

I get it now. Stoops is are next deaf coordinator, not defensive coordinator. I guess he will be working with the hearing impaired students. Makes since, he could yell loud enough even the deaf could hear him. :eek:
 




May be a good idea for the poster on the other site to evaluate his source. I'm not going to say it is or isn't happening.

However, I can tell you a source close to Stoops released a lot of information a few years ago saying that he was going to take the ISU job. This was all propaganda but it did get Stoops an extension at AZ.

I wouldn't believe any source unless that source heard it from the Captain himself.

That's fine. I don't truly believe it either but is it worth noting a little? Sure. Tons of rumors get published on message boards, some turn out to be true, some don't. Some of you guys though seem a little misguided when it comes to what a message board is about. It's a discussion forum where people can post anything they want. Like I said, if you want to discuss facts, go to a newspaper website and post in their comments section after each story. It's goes back to that old conundrum that seems to plague all message boards, it you don't like what's being posted, stop reading and posting about it. Simple.

I just wish the University would say something, make some kind of statement or something.
 


Here's the facts:

(1) Until this year, Ferentz always played it conservative and relied on the defense to stop the opponent's offense.

(2) Ferentz doesn't like the defense that's put on the field. He didn't like it last year. He doesn't like it this year.

(3) Parker has health issues.

(4) Iowa's pass defense has always been 'leaky'.

(5) There will be great wailing if Parker retires (or hijacking of threads).

(5B) Ferentz will lose a great deal of popularity when Parker retires.

Maybe not Stoops and who knows when, but Parker will soon be replaced.

Can Iowa continue to win and keep Parker in a full-time DC position?
Can Ferentz keep his HC position if Parker is replaced? Can Ferentz keep his HC position if Parker isn't replaced?

I agree, don't believe anything or any source until it is from KF, just like last week when 2 people said Derby was moving to LB but couldn't provide a link and understandably wouldn't revel their sources, I mean seriously, why would our backup QB move to LB?
 






No. I would say send some obscure assistant something or other that no one has heard of. That should calm the concerns.
 




Iowa has the greatest PR people in the Bizz. We all know they will do the correct thing at the appropriate time.:rolleyes:
 




The poster over on the pay board hasn't really said too much more on the issue since this first came out. Guess it's a wait and see situation now.
 




I posted some of the facts from the jackson retirement and Campbell hiring in another thread. Kirk had him lined up in late December and didn't announce the retirement and hiring until mid-Feb. Putting the pieces together on the rumors running through the pay sites, using the history we have on Kirks thought process, leads me to believe that stoops has been hired and needs to have everything figured out so that he can turn these other jobs down. That's why the announcement was made now versus later... If Kirk and norm wanted a victory lap they would have announced it months ago because I'm sure the decision to retire wasn't made yesterday.
