Tell that to Jerry Glanville, he went from HC in the NFL to DC at a mid major college.LOL the dude was a HC. He's not going to take a postion coach job anywhere. It's just not how it works. There is no reason this couldn't be true, not saying it is, just saying it makes sense and is within the realm of possibility.
Oh, Nevermind then. My apologies.
You are right. They is a time in the game where the sideline reporter does say KF got after the D-line on the sideline and said they were playing soft or something to that effect.
Coach kaz went nuclear on the dline...I know this for a fact as I saw it....did seem to improve their play.
Why are people having so much trouble w what I wrote. I said it was unlikely that he'd be taking a position coaching job in response to those that thought he might come here to take a lb coach job. He would be much mote likely to be a coordinator.
POW! I am good at predicting the future! Welcome to Wednesday! It appears for the first time you are right about something.Today is Wednesday.
so if a HC is fired mid season, does he get his full contractual salary even if he picks up a new job? does the new team need to negotiate a salary that makes up the difference, our does the old team make up the difference. ie. Stoops HC $ at AZ are probably greater than a position coach or DC $ at Iowa. yes I understand the potential possibilities, just wondering how the contacts work in coaching at collegiate level.
You have to understand that on this site it will always be that way. If I said I was 100% certain that tomorrow is Wednesday someone will argue with me about it.

I agree Norm is a man with great integrity and character, if he says it's time, well we have to let him do what he needs to do. That said I hope he is as involved with the program as he wants to be for as long as he can/wants to. He has earned that much respect.
Can I still pile on and point out the former Viking coach Mike Tice is now Da Bears o-line coach![]()
This is all interesting timing as KF did something I haven't heard before during the Indiana game and actually got involved by getting in the face of a specific unit that was not the O-line. He is usually very 'hands off' during games when it comes to his position coaches and coordinators.
Do you think having a B1G TV reporter in the vicinity had anything to do with Ferentz's 'outburst'?

Just never one to expect KF to act differently around the media, unless that is to be more aloof. That is why it was so surprising to hear. However, there seems to be some debate as to whether it actually was KF or if there was some confusion and it was actually Coach K.
Most of us thought the reporter said, KF. Craig T. says on the replay someone says Coach K. and others say they saw Coach K. light into his players from the stands.
Accordingly, it appears very up in the air as to whether is was coach K or KF.
