Cyclones upping the ante

Typical sqwakeye. KF has just as many losing seasons as he has double digit win seasons. With a lot of average in between

Nice try Duff, you almost got me. But bringing up double digit win seasons in comparison to a team that has never had one in over 100 years is pretty good.

I agree, then he comes back with the "Boy, I must have struck a nerve there!" post. Acting stupid to get attention is not becoming of anyone who is not a female in her 20's.

Dude I was going to step in here and point out how absolutely terrible the isu football program has been historically but HN has done a nice job of that in this thread. Props to you all on not allowing clown vermin to come in here with their garbage.

I will ask one simple question of the meat science majors however and it is as follows. Can any of you give me one historical category (number of wins, head to head wins, longest head to head winstreak, number of bowl appearances, numbet of conference championships, number of bowl wins, number of all Americans, heisman winners, heian candidates, top ten finishes, top 25 finishes, number of players to the pros, etc) where isu can say they have a better program than iowa? Is there one category? ONE? IS THERE NOT ONE????

Has anyone mentioned yet that Paul Rhodes has won 3 conference games every year at ISU?

Will he keep this momentum going?

Nice try, but 2012 records speak for themselves. ISU is clearly better.

On the current trends, ISU will be winning 6 games/year forever, while Iowa will be winning -19 games in 10 years. Which would you rather be?

And in terms if the groovy new uniforms....all I see are the barber pin stripe things. Is this a tribute to barbers?

Not only do they want their superbowl under the lights but now they are going to pull out the special throwbacks as well. I would guess these unis will bump the spread in their favor at least by 6 or 7 more points.

The real question here is why didn't the white boy cross his arms to make his biceps look bigger?

Ronald McDonald sure would be proud of that garb. Wonder how the back of their defensive lineman's jerseys will look with big a$$ grass stains on them. They're gonna get ran over. I hope Coe is starting for them. That will make it even sweeter.

Can talk about match ups or somthing semi relevant on these rilvary threads? I get tired of everyone talking about phony historical math numbers and momentum.

What exactly is phony about historical math numbers? I get that you tire of the same conversation, as that happens often around here during the offseason. With that said, things like stats, records, and accomplishments remain the same throughout time. The only thing phony about it is the way Iowa State fans try to alter their own reality.

Iowa has zero division titles. ISU tied for a share of the 2004 Big 12 North Division title, by going 4-4 in conference, tying them with 4-4 Colorado. Colorado won the tie-breaker, I'm guessing, due to their head to head win, and played in the Big 12 title game.

Well the truth hurts ISU fans. I'm sorry but this "S C R I P T" we keep going on about is your horrible records and tradition with football. We constantly have to bring this up because your whole fan base gets cocky about two mediocre seasons like you just beat Alabama. I can't even describe the amount of fail I saw on CF when a thread started talking about how you guys would win more games in the SEC.

It absolutely is, again the only possible way for Clones to believe their program is actually improving is to compare it to Iowa. So they absolutely have to win that game or else their imaginary "momentum" argument falls apart even further.

Yeah, wins over Nebraska and Okie State don't serve as any kind of evidence for improvement.

Iowa beat a team that went to the Orange Bowl.......we're they good?

ISU has been mediocre at best over the last 4 years, you are what your record says it is.....12 conference wins, and a sub .500 overall record. If KF has those number for the next 2 years (to go along with the last 2), he gone.....Rhoads on the other hand gets a 10 year extension.

Lol The same old tired arguments from HN. That's great your team used to do nice things and win and whatnot, but iowa's relevancy is quickly declining. Well, from the national perspective anyway. Hawk fans may very well be turning into kNU fans, just without the NC's.

Sounds like what ISU fan said in 1999 and 2000......then ISU fans said the same thing in 2006 and 2007......just saying Iowa has the ability to put up 9, 10 or 11 wins in the future.....ISU, not so much.
