CyclONE fans being clowns as usual

I check Cyclonefanatic semiregularly because I enjoy reading their turmoil and irrationality over their dumpster fire of a program. So I check their football forum today, and of course, the second thread from the top of the page is a thread called "IOWA football recruiting." And it was exactly what you would expect. After the news came in re Eno's decommit, the clown fans collectively started acting happier than the last time I came home with six plane tickets to Orlando to surprise my kids with a trip to Disney World holy ****. As if Iowa State could even land a recruit like Eno to decommit in the first place.

Our program, at least in my mind, is in a dark time right now. The worst that I can remember. But thank GOD that we're not Cyclones.

That's because they know that the only way they can come close to being on a par with Iowa is for Iowa to regress, because they know they'll never elevate their program. Their joy is based on another's suffering. They would have made great tax collectors back in Biblical times.

Don't the clowns realize....as much as we are struggling...........42-3.

They are excited to get back in their 7 on 7 passing league (Big 12) that allows them to score a few times per game. Their league sucks. Oklahoma will run the table in that league. OU was not remotely competitive with OSU who is struggling like hell in the BIG. ISU was not remotely competitive with Iowa who is struggling like hell in the BIG. UNI is struggling to beat anyone, yet beat ISU in Ames. I am quite surprised any ISU fans are still discussing football. I work in an office full of them. I have not heard a whisper about football since the day before they played Iowa.

You know what they are going to say. It is like listening to the political party opposite of the one you belong to. Same old stuff every day.

Thankfully Matt Vandeberg will be back once again next year and probably help destroy them for a 3rd year in a row. I mean who do they think they will have. Mike Warren?? Lazard will be gone. They have no depth. Nate Stanley is a question mark yet, but I think we can say of what we have seen so far he sure doesn't get rattled by it all. Can't imagine going from high school ball to stepping into playing Big Ten ball in front of 70,000 so quickly. Clones can talk all they want but until they beat us they are just the little dog yipping at our ankles. All noise.

And you really want to stir them up, just remind them the Big 12 is dead in about 5 or 6 years and where will ISU end up???? Jamie better be working those phones every day from now until then.

You are either very young or have a short memory. There have been darker times for Iowa football. Most recently Davis' first year as OC and that horrible season. Prior to that the end of Fry's career and the beginning of Kirk's. And even further back the years prior to Fry coming to Iowa. Those were dark times. It just seems worse because last season's success makes this year suck.

In Iowa's worst years, it is still better to be an Iowa fan than an Iowa State fan in their best seasons.

It is pretty funny. At 5-3 Iowa fans are ready to burn the place down and yet it would be a top 10 all-time season for them.

^^ Well said^^. That shows just how drastic a change it is from the Iowa States to mid tier teams like this years Iowa. They'd be thrilled with it and bragging how they are on the uptick. Kind of sad when you really put it into perspective. What college football program has never played in a bowl after Dec. 31!!? That's really hard to do, not stumble upon a surprise season in 100 years of football.
