Looks like the Cubs got some decent young players in return. Michael Burgess is apparently the jewel here, an OF with an arm and a knack at hitting line drives. Probably a AA player at the start of the season. Kirby Pucket type physique. A.J. Morris is a minor league pitcher who has had some ups and downs, but the Nat fans aren't too happy about losing him right now as I guess he was making some progress. FB in the neighborhood of 92-94, slider, and working on a change.
I guess if Gorz was to be traded away it seems Hendry did ok here. Some are saying Cashner now has a better chance of making the rotation, still leaving us without a lefty for the time being. But this also frees up some $$ for trade deadline deals.
In other Cub news, Alfonso Soriano's mother died unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack I guess. Sad news anytime something like that happens.
