reyes has bad hammys and once he gets old he will not be an effective player.

I agree with both of these. On Reyes, he's going to be looking for that 6-7 year contract. He's already 28 years old. One of the things we saw with Soriano and his legs is that speed goes away quickly. This is the kind of contract the cubs have given out often and why we all complained. If they give that big contract it needs to be to a guy that is less that 25 who will just be 30 when that contract is up.

I also agree. I think it will be a mutual split and both will move on. he just doesn't have the D or the effort anymore that the Cubs need at 3B.

Aramis did absolutely nothing for the Cubs this year in games where they needed him the most. It's time for him to go. IMO it would be a huge mistake if they resigned Pena too.
