Crean made a really awful decision end of 1st half

I could be wrong, and please correct me if I am. But I thought Hulls had picked up his 2nd foul when Crean pulled him. If that was the case I don't think there was anything wrong with sitting him at that point because you did not want him to get his 3rd.

Hulls only had one foul for the game, so it looks like Crean just wanted to rest him. He ended up playing 33 minutes-- in comparison, Gatens played 36, Basabe 35.

One of the things I really liked about yesterday was the way Fran has shortened up the rotation to 8, with Marble, McCabe, and Brommer the only bench guys to get significant run (Archie got 3 minutes). You would think that with all of their injuries Crean would do the same, but he played 11 guys yesterday. Don't get it, but glad for our sake that he had guys like Matt Roth and Daniel Moore on the floor in a tight Big Ten game.

I will say this: Hulls has a really sick shot. Glad we were able to disrupt him in the second half with May and then the collapsing (sagging?) 3-2 zone.

I second that. He is one of the elite players in the Big Ten that you do not want to have the ball in their hands. Along with Talor Battle and E'Twaun Moore.

He reminds me quite a bit of Ali Farokhmanesh. Just a gorgeous shot, quick release, smart player. Even though it was obviously bad for us, I loved the shot fake he pulled when the shot clock was running down. Drew a pair of defenders who sold out on the 3, Hulls takes a couple dribbles and nails a 15-footer before the buzzer. Great play.

Hulls is a phenomenal shooter. Can hit almost any shot. The comparison to Mark Price was perfect by the announcers.

That said, Cartwright was crossing him over all game. Hulls is a step slow against quick PGs.

Hulls is a very solid shooter,no doubt. But, he ended up with 4 turnovers, and only one assist. Bryce's eyes lit up when he saw Hulls guarding him late in the game on those last two buckets...Hulls was too small to guard him. If Hulls was 6'3'' he would be very dangerous....still pretty dangerous...but not a true pg,and small for a shooting guard.
