Could Husker Fans Rival Clone Fans In Delusions of Grandeur?

I live in Fremont Nebraska and as much as I hate Husker fans, they don't believe they were only one play away. most would say one QB away
 
The Nebraska fans that I know believe nothing of the sort. Most of them are peed off at Pelini and felt like his decision to try and turn Martinez into Joe Montana for that night was pretty stupid, but none have insinuated they were the better team that night. For the most part, I've seen the same sentiment on their message boards as well.

Every fan base has a stupid segment. And yes, that really includes ours as well.

Correct. But it's a matter of degree.

As the philosopher Hank Williams Jr. never said, Dahmer and Hitler were both mass murderers.
 
A lot of Nebby fans blaming the O Coordinator for all of the pass calls. Blaming Pelini for not recruiting a better stable of QB's. One thing their fans have a hard time with is the fact that they thought they were returning to glory this year with a great defense (hasn't happened) and T-Magic leading the offense to new heights after learning last year (also hasn't happened). But I don't think they are that much more delusional than a lot of other fan bases.
 
I will say this, ISU fans are out in numbers this year. I think I saw more ISU fans at the DM farmers market today than there were Iowa fans. Give it two more weeks when they are 3-3 and that will change.

This post is also delusional. A better qb still change the outcome Nebraska lost because of many reasons but the only one that matters is that Wisconsin is just a better team. I'm tired of the excuses nebraksa will lose that game 10 times out of 10. They just aren't good.
 
What ever you do don't ask a Husker fan about Lawrence Phillips or Jason Peter. They get mad and try to start fights.

Most Husker fans realize that we were outplayed and outcoached last week. We r not happy about it.

Fyi.... Gerry DiNardo was on local radio this week, and he said that for the first quarter and a half, he thought that Nebraska was the better team, them things totally unraveled after that first pick. We panicked and lost sight of what we needed to do. Either way, we stol got pimp slapped.
 
Nebs offensive coordinator is why they got pimp slapped. I'm curious if he was tailgating all day. I still don't think neb would have won even if they had kept running, but it would have been closer than 30 some pts.
On a side note.... Neb has the most overrated defense in recent memory.

Whats wrong with Jason Peter? Poor guy got injured and got hooked on drugs and booze. It happens alot to former football players, not to the extent of JP, but it happens. Btw, he has turned his life around and has allegedly been clean for years. maybe you should read his book.

Oh and we can't talk about LP, because as Hawk and Clone fans like to remind Husker fans of nonstop, "It's not the nineties anymore, quit living in the past!!!!11!111!!"

See how that works.
 
On DSM farmers market. Maybe it was the time of day because just got back and saw way more Iowa fans. Probably 4 to 1
 
I visited their board shortly after the game and no one there thought they were a play away from winning. I wouldn't call that delusional...

Oh, and our defense is no longer overrated, they are just plain, flat out bad. Awful, in fact.
 
Iowa state fans and it aint even close. At least Nebraska has something to brag about, ISU on the other hand got nothing.
