I know Iowa is sensitive to fans feeling like they have to shell out more money to buy stuff for things like this...its why the Michigan game was not a gold game but a black out, because the forecast was for cold weather and Iowa knows that most of the cold weather hawkeye gear is black.

They would comply, but students don't have assigned "section/row/seat" tickets. We just get in and find whatever spot we can. So student don't really know which section they are going to be sitting in ahead of time.

It would be nice if the Univ could exchange adverstising for say....70k plain colored T shirts and have them waiting for you at your seat. With an order that big, you find them for $1 each, and then give them the appopriate amount of advertising in return.

I like the idea, and hate to be a negative Nelly, but, there's going to be a significant number of numb-nutz who will wear the wrong color in the wrong section.

That, and the blackout as a visual (especially at night) is about a bazillion times better than gold. That game was played what, the second week of October? How cold could it have been?

It was in the 30's or low 40's with snow flurries during the day, it was damn cold for the middle of October when it should be mid 50's to low 60's.

If everyone would email this picture to friends and relatives that go it shouldn't take long for the word to get out and people could see what color to wear. There is 5 weeks before the PSU game, plenty of time that this could work.
