Moved up to #11 playing with Kids from Iowa that just weren't recruited by the bigs including us. Guy has to be under consideration for coach of the year. With Clones being so good it kind of adds pressure to Fran and frustration to the rest of us
 
My iPhone 5 must be losing it's memory or something. I live in the eastern time zone and it's only 734 pm here. Yet your post says it was posted today at 820 pm. Scratching my head on that one. Now if it said the post was Yesterday that makes sense.

I do do wish the panthers well the rest of the season and wish we were playing as well as they are. Obviously their coach knows how to develope players and teach them the game. Even though there could be something said about the level of competion in their conference and how it's a whole nother world playing week in and week out in a major conference I still have to applaud their coach and players on a great year thus far. I also agree this puts pressure on Fran to ramp it up. Have we become the poor sisters in the east. No disrespect towards the lady Hawks intended. :)

A historic year for there program and it's been very fun to watch them. They play sound and fundamental basketball and really can lock down on defense.

Jacobson is a fantastic coach who will no doubt get some big offers if he continues to win. Then again, maybe he's seen from others (McDermmot, Lick, and Keno Davis), that sometimes chasing a big payday isn't as good as staying where you are loved and can win.
 
They need to back off a little. Not going to sneak up on anyone in MM tourney.

Good job out of UNI. Hope they run table.

They had another pretty good year a few years back too. Remember that KU?
Iowa has had NONE since then.
 
I want to see UNI, isu, and the Hawks to finish strong. always cheered for the Panthers growing up, except when they played Iowa.

Man I hope the Hawks can get the monkey of their back and finish 6-2 or better. The Purdue and nw loses just hurt so bad.

Go Hawks.
 
Congrats on the terrible conference...Gonazga is going to wrap up the #1 seed since they have no chance at losing. It would be pretty entertaining to see them lose to a 16.

I have no idea how good they are. Their conference is terrible. I'm not saying they're good or bad...don't know. They might make the Sweet 16. They might make an early exit. See Gonzaga year in and year out.

Are you talking about the WCC or the MVC? Either way teams don't control who is in their conference. The good coaches recruit to their conference and gain national attention by controlling what they can control. Ben has done that in spades. Loyola scares me to death tomorrow. Evansville at home we should be ok. Then we will have WSU vs UNI ..... dang I can't wait.

Some of us have sour grapes towards UNI. Respect the program. They have a .633 winning percentage over past 10 years (not counting this year) vs our .539 winning percentage over the same time period. We are a whopping 5-5 versus them since 2005. They have 4 NCAA appearances (4-2 record) since 2005 with a Sweet 16 appearance, and 2 Conf tourney championships and a regular season championship (not counting this year). We have 3 NCAA appearances (0-3) record with 1 conference tourney championship. And they have done this on a fraction of a budget and we have a SIGNIFICANT recruiting advantage due to facilities and elite conference.

Am I jealous, d#*@ straight. I first thought, let them enjoy their once in a lifetime great season, but looking into the last 10 years, it looks like they have enjoyed a heck of a lot more success than us. Remember the 80s, when they were Div II and we were a top 10 program. That seems forever ago and they are much closer to our 80s glory days than we are.

We can only hope their coach is sucked up by a power 5 conference school and we can start feeling better about ourselves and our team. I am not holding my breath.
