Difference is, Kirk does it because he genuinely thinks it gives them the better chance to win (misguided). Matty C does it because he thinks embarrassment is a sliding scale and the loss looks less bad with another three (per hubris).

It's too bad the Big 10 is so awesome, storied, and rich.

Otherwise, the Big 12 would be very attractive. Pick up another guaranteed win with what would essentily be an extra non conference game. The ISU game would be the Friday after Thanksgiving.

It'd be like being in the Big 10 west, where we'd be sniffing the conference championship every year, even with the likes of Deacon Hill.
