Had a kick return for a TD and like 5 QB sacks in their last game. What do we know anout them?

Getting better.

Lost first two at home by 19 then 3.
Then, won on the road by 16.
34 team members from Colorado.
Addazio is in his third gig as HC.
Has had 24 players drafted during his HC tenures.

I watched the Colorado vs. Toledo game on YouTube. Here's my two cents.

They have a decent zone defense (by mid-major standards) predicated on stopping the run and keeping the passing game in front of them. They are going to try to stop the run up the middle and make Iowa play horizontal passing and outside zone running game, not unlike Kent State's defense. I don't think their corners are as aggressive underneath as Kent State's. Not sure they are as stout up the middle as Kent State was either. They will blitz aggressively in passing situations. (Also, not unlike Kent State) They have forced a number of interceptions.

Offense is a mixed bag. They have an aggressive running game with a very good running quarterback. They're passing game has major issues. They run a hodge-podge mix of read option and play action pass. Run blocking was decent, pass blocking almost non-existent. There essentially was no pocket and the quarterback was on the move from the get go. Todd Centeio is very inaccurate passing from the run, and has a very low completion percentage. The running portion of the read option is effective with RB David Bailey and QB Todd Centeio both being effective.

They do run multiple TE sets, somewhat like Iowa in that respect. The have a legitimate NFL tight end prospect in Trey McBride, who is the primary passing target and an excellent blocker. Expect Todd Centeio to lean heavily on McBride while he tries to get the passing game going. Iowa will have to neutralize McBride in the passing game and pressure Colorado State's quarterback. Don't let Todd Centeio settle into the passing game.

Also, Colorado State has been killing itself with penalties. If the referees let them get away with holding, they'll flagrantly do it every play.

We need better quaterback play get our offensive line clicking together. Is out quaterback that bad or is the wide receivers not getting open

They are a below average mid-major. They have lost to competition far less talented than Iowa. They also play a style of defense that somewhat fits into what our offense is capable of doing right now (stretch runs and check downs underneath). Their offense is woefully under matched against our D. Perhaps they get a couple chunk plays here and there, but they will not move the ball regularly. Kent State would be favored by a touchdown on a neutral field, IMHO. We should win this game by 30. For those clamoring to see Padilla, you should enjoy the 4th Quarter.

"Kent State would be favored by a touchdown on a neutral field, IMHO." Agreed. I see Iowa's defense smothering them, and with Iowa's depth at defense I don't see them letting up either. I see Iowa's defensive strengths matching up well against what Colorado State brings on offense.

I'm hoping Iowa's offense can open and sustain a big lead. Iowa's offence needs better production in the second half. It all depends on how Iowa's offensive units develop from where they were the previous weeks.
