College game day

That weekend is loaded with ranked matchups. I'm guessing that they'll be in Baton Rouge or Dallas.

Florida @ LSU
Alabama @ Texas A&M
MSU @ Wisconsin
Oklahoma vs Texas
USC @ ND

Man...Wisconsin's schedule just lines up perfect for them. Sure...they have to go to OSU...that's tough...But NW, MSU, Michigan, Iowa all at home? Pretty sweet set up...if they go undefeated...they will have earned it. Cross-overs were MSU and OSU...although both at home.

I don't think people appreciate how good the coaching in the Big Ten is and how difficult it is to implement warm weather systems in Big Ten play. Fitz, Kirk and Chryst don't have the weapons because of where they are, but those dudes are all among the 20 best coaches in the game. Brohm doesn't look half bad, either, and Fleck is TBD. Long story short, Frost had no clue what he was walking into at Nebraska.

I think he just remembered the old B12 days where they only played one program of equal resources...Oklahoma. Texas wasn't a part of things when he was there. He's learning though...if you don't come to play Illinois will lead in the 4th quarter, and almost beat you. They were a few questionable officials calls away from making that happen. LOL.

There is no way that OSU doesn't show up with a National audience...no overlooking anything. Not good for Nebraska.

The B1G West has gotten good bowl draws because the B1G has missed the playoffs two years in a row.
To some extent. But Wisconsin had to be an underdog when they played the turnover chain "U" (a virtual road game) in the 2017 Orange Bowl, Iowa was, what, a five point dog against the cowbells and I think Northwestern was an underdog in the Holiday Bowl. I don't think Minnesota was favored over Georgia Tech.

That's not my point, though, breh. That's Vegas. Mississippi State is like the 4th or 5th best program in the SEC West. Iowa is like second in the B1G West. When the B1G misses the playoff or the SEC has 2 teams like they did a few years ago, those matchups that are supposed to be the runners up or third place or whatever end up getting totally skewed. It worked against the B1G at some points in the past when the perception of the conference was higher, but now it is working to our favor.

Yeah they have a nice setup in the West this year but do have a pretty brutal crossover draw. Michigan, MSU, & at Ohio St, I'd take that every year for them. Its just too bad Michigan stunk up the joint against them.

That MSU game is in Madison that will be a test for them. MSU is probably the only B1G team that is as physical as Wisconsin and won't back down from them when they're running straight at them. Should be a fun low scoring game. Go Spartans! (Jesus what the hell did I just type?)

That game could be similar to the 2015 conference championship game. With a similar score.

Unstoppable force vs immovable object = Jonathan Taylor vs. MSU run defense. That's going to be interesting. It could also provide a roadmap for Iowa. Man...we are going to need everyone healthy for that game. Holy crap...Wisky's offensive line is massive. In short yardage they just lock elbows and march. Hell, they sometimes just have get in the way, you have to go three steps to get around one guy. It's ridiculous. You need size to compete with that size in the middle. Lattimore, Reiff, Nixon, Shulte, and Shannon are going to have to battle these dudes.

I think the only thing I haven't seen Wisky do, is face a big dude with speed at the end position. Michigan isn't big at the DE position. Iowa is at 270 and 280. Speed on the edge could be a difference maker, but first you have to force them into 2nd and 3rd and long. Lets see if NW can make some hay and get to Wisky's QB. Someone needs to smack that dude...he's way too comfortable...that's why he looks good. I have a feeling if you punch him in the mouth and keep getting pressure, he's going to start making mistakes. If you don't Cephus and Davis, their WRs, will kill you if the QB just sits back there.

I bet NE and took the points. Why? It’s a home game and they are averaging 38 points a game...includes 2 road games.

Side Note - I can’t stand NE. So even if I lose my bet I’m happy when it’s all said and done.

Even made a small ML wager. If they shock the world and actually win I want paid for my pain and suffering.

If Nebraska loses by 50 to OSU can we all agree to start a petition to send them back to the Big 12? And then invite Oklahoma to take their place.

Why would you want to make it harder on Iowa's 2 major sports teams, while making it easier on Nebby's?

Of course, Oklahoma could only consider that offer if Oklahoma St was included, so maybe you'd have something if you could get the B12 to take Rutgers as well.

It was tongue in cheek. Nebraska in the West was supposed to help balance OSU/Mich/PSU, we got the wrong B12 team. But yes I would rather see a higher level of competition than Neb, Rutgers, Maryland.

Every time I flip back to it, the crowd is very quiet. Probably because I haven't heard much mention of their team. Pooooor husker fans!

How could Game Day producers think Lincoln and this OSU Nebby game would be the one to showcase.

USC-Wash was 2 ranked teams. Miss St at Auburn, and probably a few other other big games.

Nebby is just terrible especially on defense.
