The attrition has begun, as TheBattman was unable to make a pick last week and was eliminated. Everyone else picked correctly, so there are now eight participants remaining.

As always, here are the rules:

-Pick a team you think will win this week. For the purposes of this pool "week" will be defined as Tuesday-Monday.

-You can only pick a team that is currently undefeated.

-You can only pick an FBS team that is playing an FBS team this week.

-You can only pick a team once per season.

-If the team you pick wins, you survive to the next week. If necessary, we will pick up to and including Bowl Week to determine a winner

-Picks must be made before the kickoff of the game you picked.

Here's a list of this week's games, with eligible teams in bold:

Thursday--Houston at Tulane-7 PM
Saturday--Oklahoma State at Texas Tech-11 AM
TCU at Boise State-2:30 PM
Western Kentucky at LSU-6 PM
Oregon at Stanford-7 PM

Here are everyone's picks so far along with who you are still allowed to pick. Let me know if you need clarification.

I needed a mule and a trail guide to find this thread, sheesh.

something big must of happened? Is Mike Stoops our new DC?

Would anyone be interested in a basketball suicide pool? I'm not sure how we would do the rules (probably not undefeateds), but I have enjoyed monitoring this game and a basketball game could be fun too.

This brings up a good point, tiebreakers. Here are the tiebreaker rules:
1. If every remaining contestant loses during any given week, the eligible contestants from that week will be reinstated the following week. The following week the contestants will resume the contest and be able to choose teams that they have yet to choose during the season.
2. If there are no undefeated teams remaining OR no remaining contestant is able to select a team that remains undefeated, there will be five matchups chosen at random from which contestants will choose.
3. If two or more contests remain going into the bowl season, the contestants will choose from three randomly selected bowl matchups. As a tie-breaker from there, any remaining contestants will choose the national championship game winner and final score. If multiple contestants choose the winner correctly, the final margin of victory, then score of the winning team, then score of the losing team will determine the winner. If multiple contests remain at this point, the winner of the contest will be chosen by random draw.

Any questions?

With two people being eliminated this week, here's where we stand. It looks like there will be one more week of traditional play before any tie-breakers.
