This made my day. CFL has the #2 ranked Buckeyes at 9-3 losing to Miami, Wisconsin, and your's truly the IOWA HAWKEYES. Wow. Wouldn't that be great? Personally I don't believe that State will do that bad. I see them either 11-1 or at worst 10-2. I see them winning the Miami game, and losing to either Wisky or Us, but 9-3? I think I'll take that:rolleyes:

I kinda of like what ESPN is doing in that segment. Not that Greise is the best guy to do it....but it's kind of fun. I see he has Texas in the NC, it will be interesting to see what he has Iowa doing. We already have one big win!

OSU fans are going to tee off on those former Wolverines (Greese and Kuselias).

That's how I see it...I don't see how they lose to Miami, especially in the 'shoe. Maybe next year when they have to play in the heat and humidity, but not at home.

That being said, I also think they'll lose to Wisconsin, and of course....the Iowa Hawkeyes.

isn't this more pre-season hype that you don't like? ESPN people are saying iowa will actually win a game against tOSU. isn't that what was bothering you yesterday?

tOSU will be undefeated when they roll into kinnick stadium and run into the buzzsaw that IS the Iowa Hawkeyes

LOL wait a minute... Is this the show or an individual cause it would be funny to see who has the Bucks as the #2 team yet they have them going 9-3?

The reason why don't like preseason polls and hype is because I don't like it when players get too full of themselves. I understand, yes the publicitiy is good for the team, and at the same time its bad for the team. You just look at the positive sides of the publicity. Oh yea its finally time we get respect. There is always 2 sides and I dont like the negative sides when players tend to overlook teams. Perfect examples: UNI 2009, Western Michigan 2007

It is Brian Griese picking the games on the show and he obviously doesn't think OSU should be #2, so it is one man's opinion from the show.

I don't think there was much media hype about our 6-5 2007 team (going into the WM game). In fact if anything I believe there was just a lot of negativity. I'm with you though, I wish this stuff wasn't so prevalent. Thats the curse of 24/7 sports networks I guess.

2007 had nothing to do with hype. But the 2005 and 2006 teams were hyped up a lot, and both fell on their faces because they had become "fatcats", to use Ferentz's term. 2007 was in the midst of all the arrests, we were coming off of back to back sub par seasons, and there was only negativity, both from the fan base and within the program.

Bingo. It's not a coincidence that this years seniors (and the leaders of this team) were freshman that year.

Speaking specifically of the WMU game, that was also the week where the sexual assault/rape case went public.

You must have some insight on the psychological state of the team. Please elaborate...

How do you know that the players are 'getting too full of themselves'?

Sorry, high expectations are a good thing for the program.
