Clowns ranked

They're practically the same team we beat in Ames. People like to act like the clowns are so much better now but I knew they were a good team when we played. We also should have beat Penn State so it's not a stretch to beat a top 25 team.
Yep....don't like them....but they appear to be fairly good this year. But, they crash back to earth next year and will possibly lose Coach Soup Campbell. New flavor of the week right now.

Campbell will be gone after the year and they can go back to pretending they're a basketball school. That school will never be good in football, any success has, and will always be, short-lived.

ISU is fools gold. They caught a overrated OU team in a classic trap game then went on to beat the worst team in football and a awful TTU team. If im a clone fan im enjoying it now because the bottom is about to fall out with TCU and Okie St coming up. They should be happy Gameday isnt coming to town so the nation doesnt have to watch TCU destroy them.

Say what you want but ISU will have been ranked in the top 25 in 2017 and Iowa won't be. That's never acceptable...ever. Kudos to them for putting their big boy pants on and going to work.

To say that's never acceptable is pretty much saying we should always be ranked. Unless you're saying it's somehow unacceptable that ISU is ever ranked?

I think what he’s getting at is that for the money and facilities the Hawks have compared to ISU the clowns shouldn’t be ahead of us.

College football is a game of inches. ISU dropped an easy touchdown in OT against Iowa just like Iowa dropped an easy first down in OT against NW. Stuff happens.

Had Iowa been blown out in the 3 losses I might listen to this whiny BS on here, but they haven't and been in each one right to the very end.

Saying it shouldn't even happen in one season is a bit naive isn't it? I sure wouldn't ever say the Hawks should never ever have a better season than a team with better facilities or spends more money than us. They are ranked right now. That means they are having a better season than a lot of teams as of right now.

They'll be back to being as miserable as we are this season again.

Don't worry after we lose to the the chipmunks it will count as a bad loss on their resume and they'll fall out of the top 25.......Sarcastically written.

More than likely. Even if they finish strong, how can someone say a bad program should never pull a decent season out of their ass? Or it's ok if they do every once in awhile, as long as it's like '02 when they had a good year but we randomly had a great year?

It feels really weird though. Having the shoe on the other foot. Usually it's them having beaten us and then we go on to have a good year and be ranked.... So that's what this feels like...

That's right, we should all be happy with moral victories and keeping games close. Boring football is okay when we win, but when we put up 10 freaking points to a dog shit team like NW, then fans are going to be irritated. There are so many guys out there that we could pay $5 million a year to that would do a better job. That's a fact.

Fact? Link?

Surely it can't be coaching. We have the best coaches on the planet. Must be the water.

GOD knows, making a coaching change is just dumb grasping at straws. Don't you know it might set your program back 10 years. Goodness, change brings nothing but misery and disappointment in the way of lost recruits and lack of success. Best to follow GarBar the Great's steadfast and safe lead to just keep extending things.

We could pay Matt Campbell $5 million, he seems to be doing a good job. But hey if you are happy with a 7-5 program for that kind of money with a great season once every 5-7 years then that's fine. I actually can't fault anyone for that. It could be worse. But I'm sick of watching boring below average football year after year. Kf has proven me wrong before when I've gotten to this point, and I hope he does it again, but I'm pretty damn frustrated right now.

Campbell's buyout is $9.4m and his contract states he's on the hook for the entire remainder of his contract should he leave for another job.
