Closed scrimmage with Missouri

Is Missouri supposed to be any good?

I don't think so, but either is Iowa. According to that Dylan honky it was close even with Jordan out. Also, did I read that Fran brought in a defensive "specialist" this summer?

Tigerboard is a relic from the 90s. I've spent some time there when they were in the Big 12. My favorite sour grapes poster of all time is FijiTiger from that board... He hates Kansas with such a white hot passion, he has written several 10000 word diatribes about how Mizzou is actually better than them. It's great.

I would say I know the score doesn't matter... but losing to Mizzou in this is bad considering they have a 100% new backcourt plus no Porter.

Without knowing specifics, like who was playing, were they working on certain D's or situations etc... were they only playing certain types of defenses? We're they giving different types of line up and players certain looks that was agreed on before hand? There literally is nothing to be taken out of closed scrimmage that stats are not kept. So, I can't consider it bad. Especially if Jordan didn't play.

That said, I totally would like more info to over react to.

The scrimmage doesn't matter. the only thing that really matters is who the BTN plus sideline reporter is going to be for the Sunday exhibition game vs Guilford college.

Hey now Giorgio Tsoukalos is the real "most interesting man in the world".

Had the great pleasure to meet the man at AlienCon 2016. I just happened to be in Cali and always enjoyed the alternative historic reimagining of early human civilization on Ancient Aliens. Just so happened to get a special panel pass from some guy wanting my spot in line to get an autograph from the girl in Firefly. The panel was 90 minutes of open forum with about 30 people and some of the prominent contributors to Ancient Aliens. I only spoke once but something I said intrigued Giorgio. He flagged me down after the panel and invited me to dinner. I of course accepted initially out of courtesy.

When I showed up for the dinner I did not expect what happened. I don't know that 3 hours have ever passed so fast. It was a large table and there were 14 people including myself. The majority were friends of Giorgio's, but none the less he dominated the group discussion and delighted with stories of past adventures and travels. I was literally distraught once the night had come to an end.

Also his wife is a total smoke show. Dudes a winner in my book.

No need to be distraught. You still have Hawk Gold to delight with stories of past adventures and travels :) from his chance luncheon with Wayne Larivee to his chance encounters with Russian diplomats.

:D

In all seriousness, it does sound like he travels a lot. Don't know if it's his job or something else.

Errr Gold's stories more often than not are depressing and usually deployed to reinforce an even more depressing topic. He's no Giorgio.

If you've ever imagined doing it, Gold not only did it, but he remembers every minor detail about it. Doesn't matter if it was 20 minutes ago or 20 years ago.
