Closed scrimmage offense struggles

Report indicates Number one offense struggled against the number two and number three defense. It was just one practice and overall from during practices this fall the offense has shown signs of improvement.

Defense looks great!

There is also some basketball talk in this video.

Arrrrrggggghhhhh.
I hate this time of year. I hate it. HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT.

I swore I wasn't going to consume stuff like this. I never know what to think. Dashed hopes. But also holding out some tinfoil hat hope that it's an intentional misdirection by an occasionally unpredictable Ferentz. Or maybe just a bad day where they were working only on plays they struggle with. Not the ones they have down to perfection.

Let's get to the games. This is worse than the day after your team's opening day in MLB. You've been waiting all winter for baseball to return. When you can watch/listen your team play pretty much every day from spring to fall. Opening day finally comes. And then they don't play the next day. It's like the longest day of the year.

These then, are the longest weeks of the year.

I would hate this less than a terrible O. ReasonablrAnalysis would predict this. No recevers. Line struggles. Maybe the hawk statue qb will run the liberty play.

You people taking Brada seriously are simps.

What a bunch of jackassery. Look at where articles/podcasts/content comes from and do a little critical thinking. This guy is spouting off a bunch of unverifiable garbage to get you to click on his links.

Wooof! I realize the source and its one practice, but the stats and results don't lie. Two first downs all day by the #1 QB?? All the INT's. Not moving the ball with any effectiveness. This is all alarming, especially this late in camp. This is a damn week before the season starts.

Boy, I hope this is a top #5 defense they are going against. That may be the glimmer of hope here.

On a side not, anybody else have a hankering to buy some pine pollen powder?

He the guy that has Don Patterson on sometimes? I've clicked on his youtube thing once and the advertising he was hocking at the beginning took too long so I clicked off. Feels like he's just a guy in his moms basement with a computer and a microphone.

Exactly, and I predict a lot of 13-10 scores this year.
I can watch a good old fashioned punt fest once in awhile. But all season long can get tough to do.. Since all the home games are sold out already, I wonder how they'd react to a season full of scores like that. Obviously winning them would affect that but it's just as easy to lose a game you shouldn't as it is to to beat em all.

That's the thing. There are a lot of those guys out there, even just Iowa fans. Hell, maybe I should start a podcast. Most of them are just hacks trying to sell their YouTube. It's funny watching them act like they are serious reputable sports media. He's actually tolerable, but just barely. He's grown on me. But, there are some really bad ones out there.

There's an idea. A HawkeyeNation podcast where Fryowa hosts it and has on various members. Talk about ratings.

Over/Under = 3

Number of games Iowa's defense outscores its offense this season.

Getting embarrassed by Iowa's defense is something about 10 college offenses experienced last year. And, this time of year the defense is almost always ahead of the offense. A lot more timing and moving pieces on offense to come together. I am not concerned if our Top 5 defense is whooping our pedestrian offense. I just hope the offense is getting better and will get a relief valve when going up against lesser defenses.

He didn’t witness the practice and neither did any other media. It’s made-up BS from his “sources.” There’s a reason no other media have reported on it, because they didn’t see it. His “stats" and report are as worthless as hen shit on a pump handle.

Barada is a hack trying to stir up some clicks for his low-rent YouTube channel and the best way to do that is to sound alarm bells. He’s doing it here because with it being a closed practice he can make up whatever bullshit he wants from unnamed “sources” and no one can counter him.

But the reporter stating the stats sure could be. He's 'reporting' from unnamed sources on what they supposedly saw. I mean nobody can say it's not true either. It's a believable story from what we know about Petras and this offense. But yet to put too much into the whole reporting 2nd and 3rd hand thing isn't something to get too excited about. He can kinda get away with it because it makes sense what he's saying.

If he meanders off into subjective stuff like coach A doesn't like player C through 2nd and 3rd hand sources that could get him in trouble with readers/viewers because of the obvious. I don't know if he writes or not.

I've often wondered who could the sources be? Players? I doubt it. The coaches? I doubt it. Other staff? I mean it's a small circle of people who have access to any of it. It's been called Fort Kinnick for a long time for a reason. Could an assistant coach be chummy with a guy like him? I just doubt it I don't see what the return on his talking would be and it'd be so easy for KF to figure out who was doing it. I just have my reservations about believing anything coming from things like this.
