There really are a ton of reasons why Iowa State fans should feel like little brother to Iowa. Here are the statistics:

1. All-time wins: Iowa 595 Iowa State 498
2. Conference titles: Iowa 11 Iowa State 0
3. Bowl games: Iowa 26 Iowa State 11
4. Bowl wins: Iowa 14 Iowa State 3
5. AP Top 10 rankings: Iowa 12 Iowa State 0
6. AP Toop 25 rankings: Iowa 22 Iowa State 2
7. BCS bowl games: Iowa 7 Iowa State 0
8. BCS bowl wins: Iowa 3 Iowa State 0
9. Wins in the CyHawk rivalry: Iowa 39 Iowa State 20
 
No, no...Section136, it's time we've had this out once and for all. We can no longer hide the truth. It's time this discussion gets the full merit it deserves, President Obama, take it from here.
 
Still belongs in the Rivalry Forum. And are the win totals for each team correct? I was expecting a much larger gap than 97 wins.
 
do this with Iowa and Minny. would you call them better than Iowa? surely you wouldn't, but I'm guessing the numbers would be pretty favorable toward the gophers.

i don't think any rational ISU fan claims iowa state has a better history or anything like that. all that's being said is that the gap is being narrowed between the two schools.
 
Who really cares. This is what we complain about ISU doing, comparing themselves to Iowa and justifying why they're equal. This is just as bad. Not only should it be in the rivaly forum but is pointless.

Yeah stevefrench the gap is closing. You do realize that we won a BCS bowl 3 years ago. All of the success we have had isn't ancient history like it is with minnesota. That was an awful comparison. ISU football needs to win something before you can say the gap is closing.

So I assume you are fine dropping the "national title" argument? Because that was ancient history too. He and another poster were talking about the total win gap. Not having a ******* match about recent accolades. We are perfectly aware of the bowl situation. Hell Ill be the first to tell you what a great job Kirk has done. I would love to have those opportunities for ISU.
 
We technically only have 1 BCS bowl win since the BCS didn't exist for the 2 Rose Bowl wins. I get what you were trying to say, but technically it's 1 win, not 3.
 
It should also be noted that there are approximately 18,000 U of I plates to 12,000 ISU plates.

Make sure we've nailed every nail in the coffin this go around.
