Only one thing to say; Wow!

Ok. Maybe not the only thing, but that is my immediate reaction. Gutsy, tough refuse to lose player. Legendary. It's happening right now and we are getting to watch it live. When Iowa fans get to talking about our favorite quarterbacks, Chuck Long is a favorite. Rick Stanzi, Drew Tate and Brad Banks among others come to mind, but Chuck Long is at the top, well now it's starting to look Mr. Long may have some company.
 
Chuck Long is untouchable at the qb position as he did it for 4 years and by it i mean win. But i'm sure he would love some company. I'd say Long/ Duncan....then stanzi/tate/hartlieb/Rodgers...special category banks/ cjb.....cjb to ascend to greatness soon. Need a couple years minimum to get in that 1st category. Stanzi didn't have great numbers but..come on...we won with him.

Did you see that Rogers story on msn,com today? It said that he hasn't spoken o his family in over two years, and no one knows why. It said that his dad has to get tickets either through Stub Hub or one of the Packers players.

A lot of things go on in families. Some petty some pretty sinister. His business, not ours.

He is busy selling state farm and his dad has all state
 
Chuck Long had protection...remember that backpedal? Hell, it took him 4 seconds to get back there and set his feet. Think about that...he took time getting back there as we didn't go shotgun that much...and he surveyed the field...then he picked out his target. Herbstreit commented that Beathard had 1.5 seconds to throw the other night. Sure, CJ has struggled, but with some of the shots he's taken and the worst protection I've seen at Iowa in my lifetime, well...I'm giving CJ the benefit of the doubt. With Kittle and Vandenburg out...well...he's not throwing to guys that Long threw to also.
