Chuck Hartlieb - "Mark Weisman wouldn't have started for Drake"

CJ's Comp % would been tons better had the Iowa WR not dropped 12+ balls at Pitt, that was the worst job by any WR corps I have ever seen that game.

Minor point... The game you're thinking of is Purdue. Versus Pitt, CJ only had 8 total passes.

CJ's % would've been better had he taken some of the underneath routes or check downs as well. Perhaps he would have seen the field a little bit more as well, rather than always chucking it deep. Just my 2 cents.

Chuck Hartlieb is probably more qualified than anyone on the staff to speak about the QB position, but RB not so much.

Can anyone look in the archive for this quote the previous 2 seasons when the Hebrew Hammer was trucking foo's?

Its easy to place blame on Weisman this year for the offensive woe, but there are 10 other positions on the field (plus coaches) that played into it.

I will add that such a drastic over exaggeration dramatically decreases ones credibility. So, be wise with your hyperbole people.

You know Chuck has an opinion just like anyone else and I may not agree with him,but at least he isn't sugarcoating what is happening at Fort Kinnick like many other analyst that cover Iowa football which is refreshing. I can't stand Hawkeyereport because all the admin there are in lock step with what the UI marketing dept wants out there.

I think there's a happy medium, with being critical, but not being a delta bravo about it. The OnIowa podcast does a nice job of this.

Eda, you need to stop. NO ONE is blaming MW for ANYTHING! I capitalized the part of my statement I wanted you to focus on. I will do the same for you with my next statement: KIRK FERENTZ IS TO BLAME FOR PLAYING A FULLBACK AS THE PRIMARY TAILBACK THE PAST 2 SEASONS.

In fact, I will settle this once and for all and I will speak for all posters who are upset that MW was our primary tailback the past 2 seasons. Any poster that doesn't agree, I am sure, will say so.

Thank you MW for always doing your best and giving every ounce of your football talents, dedication and commitment. You are a true Iowa Hawkeye and you always will be. You played out of position your entire career but always gave your ultimate effort.

So, Eda, I'd bet money that their isn't a Hawk fan that doesn't agree with the above sentiment. It is kfootball's issue in playing the wrong personnel.
