Man I loved that guy. I DVR'd the Alaska shootout game vs. UCONN and just got around to watching it and it just reminded me why he was my all-time favorite basketball player. That team was so awesome.

The guy was unique. I heard a story where he showed up to a shoot around in Columbus wearing dress shoes and no socks. He had been out partying the night before.

Would have loved to see him do more for the hawks but it sounds like he landed on his feet and then some. Great to hear!

Whether it was a 30 ft behind the back pass or a 40 ft fade away jumper or punching out Danny Earle at Northwestern he is by far my favorite hawk.

I swear I once saw him walk up on the court, casually, right before the game started and Jess threw the ball to him and he took a shot from mid court and yes, whoosh.... The whole arena erupted in a standing ovation.

He really regressed his junior year. He didn't have the lights out shooting and his attitude was terrible. Those long threes were awesome when they were falling, but it was a killer when they were not. If I recall his shooting percentage went way down that year. It was like he was a shell of his former self in just one season. What a shame.

A lot of people don't remember that he wasn't just a 3pt specialist. He had a very solid pull up jumper, was strong and atheltic enough to finish around the bucket, and was excellent at getting to the line.

Yes he's now VP of investments but it's in some small no name town in Nebraska with 30 people in it. I remember reading a story about him lighting up the towns summer league...

I'm not sure many recall he actually got a FA deal out of college for an NBA team. The first game he hung like 30, then the morning after he missed the team plane to where ever they were going and he was cut. He never got another solid shot.

Wrong. I'm good friends with him and it's amazing at how some of these stories get started. lol

He's the VP at his grandfather's bank in a small town in NE. He never got a shot at the NBA - he went straight to Europe his first year and then back to LaCrosse, WI to play in the CBA for a few years.

Again he did get a shot. He was not drafted but signed a contract with the Washington Bullets. He played (and played well) in a few pre-season games but was cut after missing a team plane in October of 2006. He never got another serious look in the NBA.

All I know there wasn't anything as pretty as Chris raining death from all over the court. You don't see that kind of shooting ability very often.

He was my favorite Hawk back in the day. I probably shouldn't have done the drinking like him though, I don't recall a lot from my time in IC.

You are correct - I forgot about the "Bullets", er, the Wizards.
