Agree about Steve Stone...one of, if not THE best color guy in MLB...and I hate the fact that the Cubs let him go and he's now forced to watch White Sox games with noted moron and bafoon, Hawk Harrelson...

That's not saying much when the competition includes guys like Joe Morgan, Orel Hershiser, and the oaf that does Brewers games. Steve Stone is pretty terrible.
Anywho, Rosenbloom is a sensationalist with mostly really bad opinions. I understand he's pretty good when writing about hockey, but I don't care enough to read those pieces.

Steve Stone is alright, but doesnt hold a candle to Mike Shannon when we was doing color and Jack Buck was doing play by play back in the day...and Ohio St sucks and I hope they get the SMU treatment

Seemed spot on to me.
Rosenbloom's schtick is negativity...everyday on everything. When USC(his alma mater) was flying high, college sports and college football were fine. Then when Carroll and USC got hammered by the NCAA, it turned to crap for Rosey.
He is the ultimate big-city pro sports cynic. Like most sportstalkers in Chicago, pro sports is extolled as the bastion of virtue compared to the hypocritical college sports world. Most just dislike college sports because they do not have a football playoff,really. And basketball is only worth noting during March. They want a mini-NFL,and NBA....just their mindset. Rosey is down on everything,cept for poker,which he seems to think is the best sport ever.
